Everything that you would want from a historical fiction
If you love historical fiction, just go for this book. The story captures the essence of a week on a ship that was considered to be unsinkable! The panic amidst the sinking is reflected so well through the pages that once out of the book, you'll feel safe and thankful for being on land. I was lost in the book for 2 days and when I came out, all I did was read more and more articles on the titanic. And the story is a happy one. No one can change the dreadful fate of the ship or its occupants, but the author does give a happy, satisfying and cheerful conclusion. A beautiful story set up in one of the most terrible events of history. I loved it.

The Girl Who Came Home: A Nove of the Titanic
Although called a work of fiction Gaynor's account of the Titanic disaster has a great deal of non-fictitious stories. And, over a century later recollection of this disaster continues to bewilder us. Gaynor's well-researched account of a handful of people from a small Irish village transports the reader to the time when numerous people from that country sought a better way of life in a new world. The impact the disaster had on a tiny village still haunts those who lost members of the families and the community.Great easy read. Highly recommended.
