This liftgate assist is absolutely wonderful. It is so easy to install and makes things so much easier for my wife and I to lift the gate on our trailer.

I'm 73 years old and this product installed fairly easy. It does change my gate from being an noisy effort on my part with a lot of heavy breathing to a very easy lift and drop with one side installed. I had an issue when it came installing the second spring. It was shorter by 6 inches or the spring was bound up and wouldn't allow the gate to come down even half way. It wouldn't even come down halfway. I contacted Amazon support who put me in touch with the seller/manufacturer. The seller solved the issue quickly with no additional cost to me. Buy this product, you won't be disappointed. And trust that, if you have an issue, you will be taken care of by the seller/manufacturer.

They work great and easy to put together

So the directions are garbage for this but anyone who is mechanically inclined can figure it out. You really only need one side for the gate. The hardware that came with it was junk so had to go get better quality bolts and nuts at the hardware store. Didn't take long to install.

Have been using these for 15ish years, replaced multiple times, but won’t have a trailer without them! These were cheaper than I remember so I bought another set. Easy install, back saver on gate lifting, and parts are easily changed when they wear out. Multiple connection options with 2 springs in each side, use the provided S hook to verify location before you drill through the gate.

Great product bought for friends trailer. He love's it. Would buy again.

Lift assist kit works really well. TWO MAJOR ISSUES: - The 5 1/2 x 1/4 bolts to mound the square tubes are much too long to use on average utility trailer with angle iron top rail. I had to buy 1" long carriage bolts to use instead. Further, the included bolts threads stop approximately 1" below bolt head, again, no way to make work on my utility trailer. - The included instructions are written fairly well, not too hard to understand, but the illustrations and pictures are not worth anything at all, of little or no benefit.
