It is more or less the size of a sheet of paper. Holds 2 detachable rows of weekly pill organizers. If you travel you can take just one. It is light, but sturdy. I like that it has plenty of pills in each compartment. I do not like mixing daily pills, so I put a different kind of pill in each compartment and it works great for me; I don't have to juggle with so many bottles each day.

I am so happy with this product. They are great if you are like me and drop the pill box or knock it off your bedside table and pills go everywhere. Great quality. The pill box is inside a second container so it has double protection! Love it!

This is a nice pill organizer. The outer case is a dark plastic which protects the supplements and medications inside from light. It measures a little bit longer than 9" x 4 5/8" x 1 1/2" at its deepest point. The case is stair-stepped, so the back pill box sits higher than the front, making it easier to remove the interior cases for filling or dispensing. The interior pill cases fit snugly and do not easily fall out when turning it upside down if leaving them in place for dispensing, but still remove easily when needed. Each case is labeled with capital letters for the days of the week and AM or PM. Each individual compartment is 1 1/4" long x 1 1/8" wide x 1/2" deep and has an easy to push latch that pops open cleanly whether it is in the outer case or not. The outer case also has an easy to push thumb latch which opens cleanly but catches securely with a light touch. Both the inner and outer cases have molded hinges, not just strips of plastic to hold the lids in place.The colorful rainbow covers make it easy to differentiate the days of the week, and you can see through them to check if you remembered to take your pills that day and/or time of day without having to open the case. When I was getting ready to write this review, I accidentally dropped this set from waist height, with the outer lid open. Not a single compartment opened and I did not lose any supplements. The outer case survived fully intact as well with no cracking or breaking of the case or the hinges.

I take a bunch of meds every day - morning and night. The cheap pill cases you get at the drug store are fine, but they quite often don't close securely. This is especially evident when you travel, and you get to your destination to find several dozen pills scattered around the inside of your bag. Even if I put the pill boxes into a zip lock bag, they still inevitably end up spilling out and I need to try to re-sort them.This organizer contains two weekly pill organizers. They are a bit on the large side, but that is OK for me, since my nightly meds contain some large supplement caplets that barely fit in my old organizer anyway. The nice thing about these organizers is that each daily compartment has a mechanically latching lid, not just a friction fit lid that can pop open if you drop it or bump it the wrong way.Both weekly organizers fit into a separate travel case that futher ensures that the boxes can't pop open and leave you digging through the underwear and socks in your luggage to try to find lost pills. The travel case is not really necessary for daily use, but will save you lots of frustration if you do travel.

I initially felt nothing special for pill organizers and adopted the attitude of, “you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all”.However, that changed as my father got older. The days of relying on black case coloring for night pills and white for daytime dosages no longer worked. His ability to associate colors with time elements no longer worked.Good thing is, he can still read AM and PM and know the difference.I ordered the yellow and purple version with AM for the former. Weird thing is, dad recognized the purple as being for PM and yellow for AM.For clarification, this is a kit of two large compartment pill cases inside a larger, hinged case. You can remove the individual cases or keep them together.Each pill holder has its own opening switch (a push tab, actually) that makes access easier than attempting to wrench the old style “click and lock” systems.Quality control is top notch and the price is well within the realm of reasonable.
