Amazon Basics Ventilated Adjustable Laptop Computer Desk Stand, 6-Pack, Black

This works great as a laptop stand and has several adjustable height options. The only issue with adjusting the height is that the higher you set it, then the keyboard/monitor angle on the laptop will change and can be unusable to type on. I have mine set to the highest setting -- 7.5in off the desk on the back end, 1.25in off on the front end. It's lowest height setting would be 2in on the back end; the front end doesn't adjust and remains at 1.25in from the top of the desk to the top edge of the laptop.I use this to have my laptop's monitor at the same level as my regular monitor in a "dual monitor"-like setup. My laptop is roughly an inch thick and the front "stops" on the stand have kept the laptop from sliding down or out. This stand is durable enough to withstand my heavy/large beast-of-a-laptop. It also provides excellent ventilation around & underneath the laptop to prevent overheating.Underneath the laptop at its highest setting, was room for me to stash a USB hub and some cords. The back of the stand has these slots in which a small rubber cord organizer/holder slides into, but the organizer constantly popped out so it was useless for me.Overall, this stand was inexpensive and worth the money.; it serves my needs as expected. (See photos for details.)FYI -- If you are considering to use this as a lap-desk or tablet stand -- I highly recommend you find something that's more suited/built for that particular purpose. This thing is not comfy to sit on your lap nor on any soft or movable surfaces such as a bed, pillow, or couch. A tablet would more than likely slide down the surface -- through the gap between the front stops (which are almost 8.5in apart). This is a laptop stand & nothing more.

Absolutely perfect! I looked around everywhere to try to find a stand as sturdy and versatile as this one. They all, quite honestly, look like garbage compared to this, so I decided to swallow the enormous shipping charges to buy this one direct from Amazon. I'm very glad I did.This stand raises the monitor to a wonderful eye height and ensures that my laptop has great ventilation. This stand is the perfect solution to create an ergonomic workspace with a laptop and added keyboard & mouse. As other reviewers have said, I wouldn't want to use it with the built-in keyboard because of the nasty metal "wrist rests" which you certainly wouldn't want to lean your arms on. I was aware of that going in and knew I wouldn't be using it that way.Well worth the splurge to save wear and tear on your body - this is a terrific investment in your workflow, for a reasonable price.

I recently bought a new laptop and wanted to make sure I took good care of it. Any laptop I have had sometimes has issues with overheating during use, and this stand has significantly decreased instances of overheating. I like that it elevates the laptop and also makes using it in my lap more comfortable. I was debating between this stand and another one with just 2 flat strips of metal on the bottom for support rather than the mesh base on this stand. I ended up getting this one because I didn't think that the other stand would have been easy to put on my lap. This is easy to carry around if I am moving between my desk and my bed or vice versa, since I feel like my laptop sits very securely on the stand. I also find I am more comfortable placing my laptop on my bed, something I do often. Previously, I would worry about it overheating but now that is no longer a concern. One more advantage of this stand is that if, god forbid, I spilled something on my desk, it would likely not affect my laptop directly unless I spilled a lot of liquid.I do find the two pieces on the left and right to be annoying on my wrists, but it's not too bad. It's also too bulky to carry with me to class, but since I primarily use my laptop at home, it is not really an issue. One other thing is that the stand came slightly dented on the bottom and therefore stood crooked when I first opened it. I managed to bend it back enough so that it no longer stood crooked.

Solid construction and easy to clean (dust). Really like the ability to adjust the keyboard angle, relieving wrist stress and increasing visibility (for those of us that still need to look at the keyboard). Nice feature is that the laptop rests on a screen, which increases airflow to keep the unit cooler. Great product!

Spectacular product. Lightweight yet durable, and the profile is relatively low (at the lowest setting), but adjusts to a considerable height; perfect for video calls, especially when the venue would otherwise require finding something to raise up the laptop. Works very well if you want to watch something or idly surf while lying down. I would not recommend trying to type a term paper or novel if you’re also using the laptop’s keyboard—the two keepers athe the bottom are exactly where many people will place their wrists, but certainly no trouble if you’re using an external keyboard. I found that my 2018 MacBook Pro runs about 40% cooler using this stand while running CPU intensive applications, like Final Cut and Logic, or Adobe AE. The first stand I bought arrived damaged; it was warped and would not sit level. Amazon quickly replaced that stand, and the next day I received a new stand with no problems at all. If you use black metal desk equipment, like pencil cups, file holders, tray organizers, etc., this stand matches those perfectly. 100% satisfied.
