bought 2 2pks and so far 1 cable is not working. Have only tried 2 out of the 4 bought. Hopefully percentage of working cables increases as all gets tested.Update: Basesailor responded and offered to replace the suspected faulty cable. I do not believe it is defective. All cables work the same way. Reading the description closer, the cables are listed as charging cables and not data cables. They all work perfectly while plugged into a charging block and will also work in my truck to connect to Android Auto. They do not work when plugged into a Windows 10, Windows 7, or Linux laptop. They will continually connect and disconnect.

Have used this cable successfully for 8 months. Then it starts smoking while plugged into my phone! If it had not been in my hands at the time, (it burned my finger as I unplugged it) it would have started a fire. The type C tip was glowing orange as I struggled to unplug it from the charging port on my phone and the cigarette lighter port. I'm throwing out the other one it came with too that is by my bedside and buying a different brand tonight.

I gave this a 3 star because even though it clearly says it can & does work as a "fast charger", it does NOT. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note9 & no matter how many times I wanted to use it, it wouldn't "fast charge", it DOES charge, at a slow normal pace, but misleading on the "fast charging" part. Which is why I bought it in the first place. It is long, so they got that description correct at least, & the package does include two chargers too.

I have a new Samsung Galaxy A10e and it has the Type C charge port. The cord that comes with is a 2' and I need more length. I also needed more cords because I charge my phone all over the house, my bedroom, my office, my kitchen and my car.This is a hardy cord and while I don't really care what color the cord is, I like the red because I don't have to guess which cord goes to my phone rather than the other phones (with micro ports).The 2' is just right for my car that has USB connections and my computer where I don't need a long cord. The 6' is in my bedroom because it has to reach from plug to nightstand. I have the 3' in my kitchen where I don't like a long cord that can get in the way. I also like the fast charge, a lot! Before, when my phone battery was low I had to wait forever for a decent charge (thus the need for a car cord). I used to plug my phone in at maybe 85%, take a shower, do my hair and makeup, get dressed and still the battery would only be at about 95%. If I'm going to be gone all day I want a 100% charge. This new cord hits 100% pretty quick. I love that!The price of this cord is very fair and the maker seems to have pride in their products, which matters. It's a good indicator that they make good stuff, they care about their reputation. Customer ratings influence my buying decisions too, not just 5 stars, but how many reviews. I read the negative reviews to learn what people don't like and the informative positive reviews where I get an education on a product.Amazon is a little slower on delivery these days, but that's okay. COVID-19 has affected everything on every level. I still typically receive my purchases prior to arrival quotes. I've been shopping Amazon for years and they have never ever disappointed me regarding choices, delivery or returns. I may have only returned 4 items over the years. The associated companies are also great, they fix a problem right away with super customer service. While I shop Amazon for routine purchases, vitamins, pet foundation filters, etc., I also compare choices and prices with Walmart (because I have a lifetime discount). Frequently, Amazon has better choices and the prices are better even with my Walmart discount and Amazon always delivers faster.

This product is fantastic. Cables are sturdy but flexible and will lose their stiffness once the newness has been rubbed off. They're wrapped and felt very high-quality. They worked well during use and the plug ends were sturdy and long enough to reach the port on my S9+ with the case on it without any trouble at all, which is important. Rapid charges without a hitch. They connect securely to the ports on either end and do not wobble or fall away.One thing I really appreciated was the fact that the seller BaseSailor followed up with very nicely worded emails after purchase and then asking for a review or encouraging one to contact them with any questions or concerns. It's really nice to see a company which cares about their customers.So far I'm extremely satisfied with this two-pack of cables, but the proof is in the pudding. I just started using them. If they turn out to be unreliable I'll update this review.

First, I want to say it shouldn't be so hard to find a cable that will do proper data transfer when connected to Android Auto. For my last phone, I went through many brands before I found one that worked with my 2016 Jetta. When I upgraded my phone which has USB C not micro USB, I got the same brand. Lots of reviewers said it worked for them, but it wouldn't work with my car/phone combo. Thankfully this was only the 2nd attempt, and it works like a charm. I'm also glad I was able to return the ones that didn't work.I can't attest to durability since I've only had it about a month. But this type of braided cable held up for a couple years with my old phone.My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a 2 foot length, which I prefer for the car, and is nearly impossible to find now. However, the 1.5 foot is almost as good especially since it's doesn't come unplugged if I grab the phone too quickly which my old one did. And I love the color!

Useful to have a brightly coloured cable that stands out so that you will not inadvertently leave it behind in hotel rooms. Seems sensible to have a single colour for all lengths of USB Cable. So, am about to buy micro USB cables in a different bright colour.
