Shelby American Up Close and Behind the Scenes: The Venice Years 1962-1965 (2017)

Book came in excellent condition and in a reasonable delivery time.

Designed to be a coffee table book, it is certainly much mire than that. As a former Cobra owner I found the book very interesting and fulfilling. It certainly filled in the gaps of most known history of the Carroll Shelby and the Cobra automobiles.

Dave was given an incredible opportunity : to be the exclusive photographer at a unique time in motorsports history. Luckily for all of us, his photographic skills were beyond adequate. His amazing shots capture the entire history of Shelby American. And he seems to never have slept since the coverage is not only races but the behind the scenes events that are especially significant. This is coupled with text from him and other SA members to provide a time warp back to Venice, Ca in the 60s. Fabulous.

Shelby enthusiasts are very fortunate that Dave Friedman has continued to share his photographs and memories of the Venice years of Shelby American and the design evolution of the Cobra. New, unseen historical photos track the progression of the Cobra to world class status. Dave's insight regarding the people that contributed to this American success story (even office staff) gives credit where credit is due. Regardless of how many Carroll Shelby books and magazine articles you have read, you will find new and interesting facts highlighted by great images in this book.

Libro abbastanza buono.fotograficamente ricco e abbondante,pero'e molte foto sono conosciutissime.

Habe zwar schon sehr viele Bücher zu dem Thema, aber es gibt hier viele unbekannte Inside Ansichten, daher für Cobra Fans ein sehr schönes Buch
