Great sturdy RC truck for kids
Got this for my 6.5 yr old son for Christmas, it’s really cool. Works well, glad it comes with two batteries bc the charge doesn’t last super long. Worth the money but I’m glad I got it on sale. It does go really fast and it’s pretty tough.

Durable, fast, fun, and a great value!
If you're ready for something faster and more reliable than a "toy" you might find at Walmart or Amazon, but don't want to spend $200 at the hobby shop, this car is the perfect fit. I got my kids RC cars when they were younger and they really liked them but they were cheap toys and once they broke we couldn't repair them or find parts. We were ready for something of "hobby" grade, but that can get really expensive pretty quick. This car from HaiBoxing has the durability, performance, and parts availability of a true "hobby" grade car without the huge cost. A couple highlights: -Fast - Great acceleration, and decent top speed. -Great handling - a smaller car like this can be hard to drive straight but this tracks really nicely, quite a surprise. -Fun - Racing, doughnuts, drifting, jumps, no problem! -Great quality build - though this is very affordable, it has a lot of the higher end things you'd want in an RC like 4 wheel drive and metal drive train including metal dogbones. Those are often plastic on this size and price of car. -Durable - It seems well-made and we've flipped it and crashed it with no problems so far. Because it's so light, even if it crashes at full speed, there just isn't a lot of forces or inertia to cause damage. -Great battery life - The 850 mAh battery lasts for probably 20 minutes, and then there's a second battery, too, which means there's enough juice for everybody to get a turn driving, even Dad. I also like that the battery has the Dean's/T-plug connector. A lot of smaller cars have a proprietary connector, but the Dean's is very common so if you want to get a bigger battery down the line or want to swap out a battery from another car it's not a problem. -Stickers - It came with a sheet of sticker decals that you can put on the truck to customize how you like. My kids thought that was great. -Low Speed Mode - An absolute must! We found this out the hard way. We had another car that didn't have a low speed mode, and it was just too fast to control safely in the house or for the beginner. With this car, a quick switch and your top speed is reduced probably 40% which means you can now drive in the house without damaging the wood or running over the cat. It's also a really nice feature to have if you want to let the neighbor kid or a novice drive the car without you wincing every time he almost t-bones a cement curb. -Parts Availability - We haven't broken anything yet, but when kids are driving at these speeds, eventually something will break, so you want to make sure you can get parts otherwise it's very frustrating to just have a nice car sitting on a shelf because it won't run. I checked ahead of time for this model and every single part on it is available separately so that's good to know. Overall we're extremely pleased with this car and I think it's the perfect fit for the kid who's ready for something faster and better quality than the typical WalMart toy. As an adult, I like it, too. It's fun to do doughnuts and bash around outside, but I just can't justify paying $200 for an RC car, so this car really fits the bill.

Great beginner car
When I was younger I always wanted an RC car. Not every Christmas but most I got one and every year I broke it. The last RC I had was a hobby grade car and I broke it. It was probably just stripped gears that needed replaced. Over the years my sons have had several cheap RC cars. Recently I started watching some YouTubers (Kevin Talbot) that play with RC cars and I thought I would buy a small hobby grade RC car and try this all over again. I feel like I could work on this car fairly easily if not take it to a local hobby store and have them help. Needless to say I'm blown away by this car. I charged up the battery and took it out for a rip and it's awesome! Super fast and is perfectly able to rip around the yard. My youngest drove it around it slow mode and a little in fast mode but after the first battery drained I immediately ordered two more to give my boys for Christmas. It seems solidly built, has some weight to it all plastic but as some say plastic bends or takes shock better than metal. 4wd seems crazy on these little cars. As with any electronics over the last 20 or 30 years things just keep getting better and this is no different. It's well built. You can find people on youtube that know way more than I do praise this little car and rip it way harder than I ever will. The instruction manual is good and has a full parts list and assembly diagrams to help when you need to take it apart. The best part about these cars is even though they are $70 you can buy replacement parts even upgraded parts. It makes sense to pay a little extra for a car like this and when something breaks you can you buy a cheaper replacement part instead of buying a whole new car. These kinds of cars also should be more durable. I want so bad to upgrade the shocks and drive axles but I'm going to wait for a bit and keep it stock until something breaks or I just get the itch and buy them. I love the slow mode. It's perfect for in house ripping around and for younger kids. Fast mode for anyone under 10 would probably mean they would break something pretty quick but if you start them young and in slow mode they can get used to it and control it fast mode be easier and more fun for them. Overall in my opinion it's a great little car. I'm really going to enjoy it. My boys will enjoy it. Can't wait to upgrade it. Not looking forward to when something breaks but really glad there are replacement parts. Highly recommend for cheap fun. The only complaint I would have is the pins that hold the body down are really small and some seem to come up with different and better ways to hold the body down. I'm sure when I start to work on it the small size of everything might somewhat of a hindrance but we'll just have to see. I worry about if things are taken apart multiple times the screw holes could get stripped but that's just opinion not fact. You can buy the whole chassis if you wanted to. In all I feel like I will get a lot of enjoyment out of this car. Breaking things is normal and frustration may normal too but it will be worth it.

Great value
Car is exactly what is described in the product description. Initially I was impressed, the car is fast and handles well! It was a total blast to use it outside. Battery life was awesome. The car is ready to rock out of the package. Unfortunately,I believe I purchased a lemon. The rear gear didn't last more than 24hrs. A terrible grinding noise is heard. Customer service seems great it does not appear I will have any issues with the return. I would purchase this item again.

A tough, quick and fun truck for a great price.
First impressions: Packaging is very nicely done where even having some damage to the outer shell probably wouldn’t affect the truck itself. After a couple of quick snips of zip ties, the truck is free along with the transmitter and paperwork. The truck itself gives a very nice impression. It looks like a hobby grade vehicle and not something that you’d buy from Target. I was happy to see a normal 9g servo up front and everything is ready to run. Drop a couple of batteries in the transmitter, charge up the battery in the truck and away you go. Going over the truck, I removed the body clips and shell and was happy to see a well designed suspension, steering linkage, and that the general layout of the components is well thought out. It looks completely serviceable and upgradable. After I went over the multi-language manual, I found the parts list and some basic exploded diagrams which gives someone with a little more knowledge the information they need to do more extensive rebuilds. Beginners might have to think about it a little more, but the information is there. One concern is the availability of parts, but after contacting BBM Hobby, they said they will stock the most likely to break parts on the Amazon site. The radio is a combination ESC and Rx in one. The battery is charged through the balance port on a USB charger. You’ll need a USB port either on a computer or phone charger, but this also means you can charge it in your truck at a park if you’re willing to wait the 1.5-2 hour charging time. I’d highly recommend buying a couple more batteries. The battery is a 2S lithium 700mah with a JST connector. You can find high capacity batteries which will give you longer run times online. I’m probably going to pick up something around 800maH or better. I just took it out for the first time and I had a blast with it. The truck went over the grass easily and handles rougher terrain without breaking a sweat. I even took it over a bit of a gravel pile that I had and the gearing made easy work of it. At first the speed of the truck is what I had expected of this kind of build, but I discovered an all important switch at the top of the transmitter labeled ‘Slow/Normal’. I flipped that switch from Slow to Normal and I had a whole new beast on my hands. The truck can move (Yah, I missed that on the manual)! The steering is responsive and the truck handles well on flat ground. I had to flip it a couple of times when I was racing around my backyard over uneven terrain, but I do believe that better shocks will improve the stability quite a bit. As for durability, for the most part, I see this as a solid rig that can withstand a LOT! The quality of its parts seems good and it’s taken a few tumbles already without any adverse affects. I haven’t “sent it” by any means yet but I’m looking for some nearby tracks since I’m new to this particular neighborhood. In the meantime, I’m letting it roll off my stairs and having fun letting my dogs chase it around. My overall impression is that this is a great starter truck for someone who doesn’t want a toy grade truck, but also doesn’t want to make the investment into a hobby grade truck. I give it 5 starts to be honest for the truck itself, but the lack of ALL the parts being available is something I’m hopeful the vendor will increase to benefit the popularity of this truck. You’ll definitely want to get more batteries so you’re spending more time racing rather than charging. I’d also recommend buying a good charger that works in the field as well as at home. Being able to maintain your batteries will extend the life of them greatly and a good charger can help. A few upgrades I’ll look into will be a brushless motor and ESC (I’ll have to replace the servo and reciever as well) metal drive shafts, and oil filled shocks. The latter two are available from the manufacturer. Here are some current links to the upgrades I mentioned; Metal drive shafts; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X6FR8MW?ref=myi_title_dp Oil filled shocks https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X5L2NP1?ref=myi_title_dp A tough, durable and fun truck for a great price.

Super Fun!
It has been the best toy purchase for my children. I bought it 2 years ago and it is still in great working condition. It’s powerful, super fast, and the remote control has an excellent range! Highly recommended!

Best RC truck for the price for kids or adults! My review video shows it all!
I have a video my son and I did showing all the important details about this cool little truck. If this review or our video help you, please support us by ordering your truck or other products through the links below. Rampage in Greeen: https://amzn.to/35uosm9 Rampage in Blue: https://amzn.to/2UvXZy5 Rampage in Red: https://amzn.to/3lHuQMJ Oil dampened shock upgrade(set of 2, not offering 4 now for some reason): https://amzn.to/3eXZe2A Replacement upgraded single battery: https://amzn.to/2IvsYI2 This little truck is fast, tough, and priced right! My son wanted to use his birthday money to buy an RC car. We picked out a really cool looking one from Walmart for $30 and the thing wouldn't even go in our gravel driveway. We promptly took it back and headed to the hobby store to see what they had. They had a sister brand to Traxxas that were smaller 1:18th scale trucks that fit the bill but were $150. He didn't have that much money to spend so I was going to spend the extra to get him something good. We decided to look online and ran across this little gem called the Rampage. It's got an adjustable fast/slow speed on the remote which is great for a kid learning to drive or even in tight places. It's still pretty fast in "slow" but when in high speed it's almost too fast to control at times but helps it actually still drive through tall grass. We have jumped it off huge ramps, crashed it into brick walls, and the thing just keeps going. The only issue we've had was a bad charger that we got replaced. The only other issue is we've had an axle come out of the hub twice. Once was because of a loose screw which we tightened down, and once was because my dog chased it and bit it hard. Each time was an easy fix and it just popped right back in and we were off and running again. It comes with 2 batteries and they charge in about an hr and last 15-20mins each. This package has everything you need to get going and drive for a while. You can find replacement batteries for as cheap as $12 a piece(links above) and upgrading the shocks from the stock(which are just springs with not dampening) to the oil filled dampened metal ones for $20(link above) is a great upgrade and makes a huge difference. It helps it soak up jumps better but most of all makes it easier to drive. Before in our gravel driveway if you got going fast, it would bounce all over the place so bad you couldn't control it. With the upgrade it is much easier to control. For the money, this RC can't be beat. At least from what I've experienced. My 6yr old does great with it but I wouldn't suggest it for anyone younger.

Update! Great truck small issue!
Update! Ok manual states charger will have solid red light and blinking green light while charging. Both batteries when put on the charger seem to be charging, as the red light is on and green light blinking. After 3.5 hours of charging per battery neitherof them finished charging, or atleast the charger status claimed they never did. I wnet ahead and pulled them off the charger to run them. 15 minutes of run time tops per battery. Ad states 40 minutes of runtime for 2 batteries. I am missing 10 minutes of run time lol. Overall kinda disapponiting the batteries charger for over 2 hours for a whopping 15 minutes of fun. Despite the reverse situationand the short battery life. The truck is a lil firecracker! Fast and will take a beating. Mixed feelings but defintely fun to play with. Wish the batteries lasted longer. I can get over the reverse but hourse of charging for 15 minutes is kinda disheartening. So after reading the manual i realized apparently the truck is set up to operate the brake/reverse the way it does so the complaint down below is invalid. no malfunction. But i dislike the way the reverse has to be engaged disengaged and engaged again if you want to go into reverse while you are traveling forward. I dont like the fact you can go from reverse to forward but not forawrd to reverse. ( Original review )... Out of the box truck is small and doesn't seem like anything special. Upon picking it up I noticed it had some weight to it. Upon further inspection I pulled the body off. Looking every inch over, I realized this is a well built machine. No defects that can be visually noticed. Now on to the controller. It is cheaply made. Comparable to remotes from RC's at Wal-Mart. No biggie though. Steering reverse button is sunken below the surface of the controller, which makes it difficult to switch the button back and forth. No biggie, as I don't plan on using it. The normal and slow button is barely above the surface just enough to get your finger on it so that's good. Now the operation of the unit. I like that it had normal and slow mode. I started out in my living room on slow. First thing I noticed was that when traveling forward, I pushed the trigger from forward to reverse and the truck slowed to a stop. I then had to let off of the trigger and push it again to go into reverse. Surely this is not how that is suppose to work. If you try go from forward to reverse the truck does not respond. Kinda frustrating. Makes the truck less fun to drive. Despite the reverse malfuntion the truck is fast and handles pretty good for how small it is. On gravel the truck bounces a lot. Doesn't do very well in uncut grass but will go through it. On pavement it is fun. Ramping it is a blast. Will do donuts on pavement. I don't like that the shocks are plastic but atleast they are adjustable. Adjusting the shocks definitely improves the handling. I also purchased the oil filled. Have yet to install. ( have installed oil filled shocks since original review) they work so much better than the factory plastics. Overall I like the truck. Disappointed in the reverse malfunction situation but I reached out to Amazon they ask if I wanted to return it. I opted to talk to the manufacturer first. I just messaged them so hopefully they can resolve my issue. Would have given this 5 stars had the reverse malfunction wasn't an issue. If they cannot help me I will be returning
