GuCra Tradition Yuzen Washi Paper 5.5" x 5.5", Japanese Chiyogami Washi Paper 30 Sheets

I recently collected a variety of origami paper to make a wall collage for my mom. This was by far my favorite purchase. Amazing textures, genuine colors and fibers, and every page was unique. Lots of authentic Japanese strokes and imagery, and several prints featuring reflective gold ink patterns made this collection worth every penny.

I did a review of the 9.5cm (3.9 inch) paper that I bought, and pretty much everything about that one holds true for this pack, as I recieved the same company's paper.The washi is a decently high grade, pleasant to fold and holds creases well. Every sheet was unique, with no solids, dupes or non-washi mixed in as some lesser packs do. With the exception of two sheets every page also had metallic gold or silver detailing. Every sheet was beautifully designed and heavily detailed with one sheet catching my eye being a solid metallic silver with a cherry blossom pattern in red and pink. The edges are all cut cleanly and form a perfect square.Unfortunately it did have the same issue as the smaller pack, where the company's logo was on a strip of paper which was affixed to the top sheet with paperclips, and the paper clips dented that sheet slightly. Its not a major issue, the dents are minor and dont prevent folding nor are they visible on the finished piece.Still, if you were decoupaging a flat sheet, it might be something to note.I highly recommend this paper for any origami or other projects. Its a great price for what you get.

Beautiful silky textured paper. Great variety. No blanks. Authentic Yuzen Washi prints. Many with gold paint. Made in Japan. Beware of the knock off papers that are just cheap prints of the classic styles.

Nice patterns, good texture and quality. Great variety of patterns. Some only show up once per package, others will have multiples. No guarantee the same pattern will show up in a new package, although most packages have had the same patterns with different repeats. Sometimes there are one or two cut slightly off. I received a whole package cut incorrectly, did a return exchange and new package was cut square. Patterns are only on one side, opposite side is bare. Plenty of shiny and gold patterns.

in love with this paper. Great price, all 30 sheets are high quality washi paper. There are no solid colors papers in here so you do get 30 papers for the price. I bought 2 packs, this is all 60 of them. Each pack had 30 different paper with no repeats. 3 of the same designs were in pack 1 and pack 2, but no repeats within the same pack. in pack 1, all the paper had gold flecks/foil (not sure what its called) on it. In pack 2, the designs were different, I'd say about 25 of the 30 papers had gold, but even the ones that didn't were still beautiful high quality paper. I've been trying to get beautiful paper for the best price per sheet, and I found the winner here!!!!

Premium origami paper. Every single one of the patterns was lovely and had subtle metallic accents. The paper has a delicious velvety feel to it. I ordered it to use in 1000 crane project not realizing that it was a little bit smaller than the 6 x 6 size of the rest of the paper, but they still work well in the overall design. And of all of the paper that I purchased this was the finest in beauty and quality. This photo doesn't picture all of the papers, but there's a nice range of colors and designs. I've already ordered another one of these!Postscript... I have now ordered three more of these. The 30 different patterns are again lovely. And all the packages are pretty much the same selection, just a couple of different substitutions here and there.

Yes, they have flecks of gold highlights. And the thickness is sturdy without being too bulky . But none of these squares have the complex intricate , beautiful visual rhythms typical of traditional Japanese art papers. Images are often placed merely as repeats in boxes, evenly spaced. Some are trite, such as balloons. Some have an appearance I can only describe as gross: repeated image of hairy pigs in two (!) and rats (maybe mice) nibbling on grain sacks. (Brings bubonic plague to mind) i can use about half of the 30 But they are not extraordinary.
