You have to buy your own candles I never took the chance to lit them on the candle holder was very disappointed when I opened the box to see no candles up to now I can not get the correct size candle to fit

I am not sure what u mean by a wide table. I have them on my 8 seater dinning table with a centerpiece in between and they look beautiful

Decent looking set

These are nice but not as heavy as I thought they would be. One of mine is a bit lopsided I think so I’m constantly adjusting (I have OCD..lol). They look nice and go well with my theme in the living room on the hearth. I added 3”x6” black marbled candles. I wanted them to stand out from the actual candles and the contrast is great! The color isn’t gold - I have a silver and black theme and these work - almost a pewter color? These would be awesome if they came in a much larger (taller) version with a little more weight to them. Still happy with purchase. See pics
