FastenMaster FMLL005B-250 LedgerLOK Ledger Board Fastener, 5 Inches, 250-Count

I have searched my local area stores for the best price and the price on these far exceed the prices I have found anywhere. The fastener itself is the best out there... I bought these for a project at home. I have used these many times for decks and other building projects. This time seemed to make me really appreciate how awesome they really are... I used these to build a 4 tiered garden in the back yard with landscape timbers. Our yard slopes drastically and I wanted to dress it up and be functional about it. I built the retaining walls with landscape timbers and screwed each course of timbers together with these. The ledgerLOKs are so powerful that I was able to drive bows out of the not so perfect timbers. As I fastened them, I would countersink them so as to not have them sticking up in the way of the next course. They had so much torque to them as they were countersinking, they would squeeze the water right out of the timbers. It was really cool. I know it's a guy thing but WOW. My wife even confirmed how cool it was after watching a small demonstration. Will Not Be Disappointed and much less in price per unit cost...

Notice the name is LedgerLOK and were created to attach ledger boards to your house when building a deck. However, they are a universal type product that can be used for many applications. They are code approved in most geographic locations as replacements for 3/8 inch lag bolts. Pre-drilling is not required. I use Milwaukee M18 impact driver and there is enough power to drive through tough wood. Some low torque impact drivers may have trouble with the screws. I've been using these screws for 3+ years. I'm just a serious home maintainer and woodworker (Not Commercial)

We use these screws all the time for framing houses. The hold well and tighten up anything with ease. Usually go thru 3 buckets a year.

These drive with out predrilling. I use a battery powered nut driver to attach 2 3/8" oilfield pipe to posts cut from used high line poles for horse and cattle pens with these screws and a large strap clamp shaped like conduit clamps to do it.

I've been in construction for a while and this product is crazy good. I can't imagine what I would do without them on my framing jobs and the inspectors love them.... enough said! I've done work in NJ, NY, MA, PA, New Orleans, SC, and NC... everywhere I go, the people I work with are converts to this absolutely awesome product. these are great ledger screws - and the price was WAY better than big box stores

My company builds a lot of decks. For ledger board attachment, these are sweet. Yes, you have to use more than traditional 1/2" lag screws, but the labor savings (not to mention the size/weight savings in our vans/trailers) wonderful. They are also great for helping secure 4x4 rail posts. We do the standard 1/2" carriage bolt connection, then throw two of these in for a rock solid post.

These are the best fasteners for what there intended to do. I love them. A great value.
