Works well for all but the largest dip pens.
It is well made, but you'll probably want to trim the casting flanges off the injected plastic lid. I use it on a tilted table, steadying it with kneaded adhesive. It is quite handy -- better than dipping into an ink bottle.

Handy
I’m trying to learn Spencerian script, but I need to use a dip pen since a don’t have a fountain pen with the proper nib. This is much cleaner and easier than the bottle. I’ll probably get a couple more for different color inks.

Cheaply made, shallow, nearly useless.
I was looking for an inkwell for my dip pen. This is an extremely shallow, cheaply made piece of plastic junk. In the molding process they left sharp edges all around. The lid is not airtight or safe to leave ink in it. And if you want to pour the ink back into its original bottle...good luck with that. I returned it.

Not what I really expected.
I decided not to use this for ink. Its seems too shallow. And in my mind the cover will not keep it from drying out if I do not use all the ink that I pour into it. Seems like a large waste of expensive ink. It will be used as a.last resort. Will continue to look for something better.

Just what I needed and wanted. Compact with a cover for those times I'm interrupted. And the price was very goid.

Seriously-Don's waste your money
I was so disappointed-- the ink well is too shallow. Filling the pen is very difficult, really impossible. Ugh!!!

Not worth the price
The quality of this product is very low. The plastic edges are not even trimmed. This level of quality worth at most $2.
