Good mounting location, more practical than chain, more secure than cable
Good mounting location - Mounting on the seat tube is the best location for road bikes. I don't want to sacrifice one bottle cage holder (I usually need 2 bottles for long rides), nor the saddle bag on the seat tube. The clamp is very strong and doesn't scratch the frame. For sure, don't rely on zip ties for mounting, because the weight of the lock will make it slide around scratching the bike's paint.Good compromise in security - the metal of the folding lock isn't as tough to cut as a decent chain, but it will need at least a 2-foot long bolt cutter, which is hard for the thieves to hide in populated areas. Stay away from cord locks because a small 8-inch cable cutter can clip it in one second.Short length - I wish it were a bit longer. At nearly 25" in length, I can tie my bike to most bike racks, but not around trees nor big posts. I can tie 2 bikes together, but only their tires without frames.Convenience - I hate carrying the chain around. It rattles and bangs on my frame and is exactly 3 times heavier. The folding lock is 1 lb and 2 oz. People spend hundreds of dollars more to get a bike that's 2 to 3 lbs lighter.

Almost perfect..
Had the lock for a few months now. What I like about it, is it can easily be extended out and folded back in. Very compact and light. Seems durable. I'm sure any lock can be picked or cut, with time and dedication.... but I feel as if the average bike theft wouldn't have a easy time getting through. Only problem I have is with the design of the storage unit/case. There's a plastic piece that pops on the front, to strap down and secure the lock. It doesn't snuggly stay in. Mine popped out on the 2nd ride... never to be found. Needs to be more secure. Wish I could exchange for another or return all together, but its passed the window. It's pretty important piece, because it keeps the lock in the case. Other than that.... excellent lock.

Installation was a SNAP! Instructions and Necessary Tools Included
Apparently the company listened to a lot of the reviews below because mine came with instructions for installation (they are at the bottom of the instructions on how to lock and unlock the bike) along with the needed screw driver to attach the mount. Installation could not be easier, took me less than 5 minutes to put it on myself (and the includes the time it took me to run in and grab the included screwdriver from the counter because I was a dope and thought that I could just hand tighten the screws... you can't)Only gets a 4 thus far because I have not used it more then once, but will come back to update later... Just wanted to let people who are thinking about buying this lock set know that it does (at least now) come with instructions and tools for installation.

On second thought, pretty decent
This comes in a cute package with a nice mounting bracket and one of the keys even has a little flashlight in it. Unfortunately, the construction around the rivets is quite flimsy. I'm sure I can break it with a chisel or pry bar, either of which would easily fit between the steel bars and the rivets. But AFAIK all locks are broken easily with tools, so this lock could even be better than one that can be opened with a bolt cutter. After nine months, the steel spring "gates" that cover the key hole broke and jammed. I contacted the seller and received a response and replacement shipping confirmation within minutes. Good customer service.

Good design but....you know, size matters...
Ok four stars but could easily become five stars.I like to include my back wheel in the latching of my bike. This lock, though sturdy, is about 4 inches too short to accomplish this. If they add in another segment it would probably be a perfect item.Sent back for a longer item.

Great value
For the price these are amazing and itโs hard not to give them 5 stars but I had to give them 4 because the mount for the bike is small and ugly. I would also fear the lock would fall out. Itโs a tad short aswell. I feel like itโs one link away from being perfect. For the price you canโt beat it though.

Good lock but the mounting hardware may not work for you
I wanted the lock to secure my bike for short times while on a long ride. The lock is certainly good for that - I'm sure if somebody wanted to cut through it, they could, given enough time, but I'm not going to leave it long enough for that. The reason I gave it lower scores is that the frame mount will not fit on any of the tubes on my bike (Cannondale Synapse). Luckily the lock itself is compact enough to carry in my saddle bag.

Great protection and easy to stow.
Likes: Weight, strength and the lack of area needed to carry on the frame. Downside: believe it or not, figuring out how to open it. (More than a key, there's a trick to it.)

nice lock
its pretty good but an angle grinder would make short work of it but the same thing can be said for a top end kryptonite lock i beleive the record is 2mins.so save your money this will do the job nicely under most cercumstances.this is light weight easy to attach to the bike and is mid range security, these days its not about how secure your lock is its about where you park it up and how long you park it up.

Strong and unobtrusive
Really like this. Reassuringly heavy, light enough and compact enough to go unnoticed in its frame or in my backback for social days out on the bike. Not quite light enough to go in my back pocket - but thatโs not why I bought it, as Iโd never dream of going for a ride and spending long enough time away from the bike in my Lycra. For its purpose: perfect. So much so I bought another for my wife.

Small and practical
Have had this lock for some time now, and I really like it. The mounting bracket is great, and I just keep the lock on the bike to use when needed, normally during short trips to the shops when the bike will not be left unattended for very long. The lock is long enough to go through the rear wheel and triangle, but to to lock both wheels. The only downside is that the rubber tab that holds the lock in place in the holder has started to crack, and I am not sure how much longer it will last before it breaks.

Fantastic
Just the job! Light, strong, folds up small to stow away on the bike and long enough for most all bike stands.
