I honestly didn’t expect to like this as much as I do! The e.l.f. Gentle Peeling Exfoliant is super soft on my skin but still manages to make it feel super smooth afterward. When you rub it on, it starts to kind of “pill up,” and you can feel little bits of dead skin coming off. It’s weird at first but also kind of satisfying. This exfoliator works really well and provides great gentle exfoliation. You can actually tell it’s working as you rub it into your skin, which is very satisfying and effective without being harsh. I’ve used the ORG Peel Off Face Cleanser before, and this is very comparable in results—but at a much cheaper price. My skin feels smooth and refreshed after using it, with no irritation. I saw this product recommended on Reddit and decided it was worth a try. This product is absolutely amazing for my purposes. I get a lot of flaky skin on my chin from retinoid use that I’ve struggled to remove without irritating my skin for years, and this stuff helps it just roll right off!!! That being said, if your skin isn’t already flaking, I’m not sure that it would do much for you, it helps remove dead skin at the surface but isn’t just going to make you peel if your skin is already exfoliated and/or well hydrated, that’s what chemical exfoliants are for. But if your skin is already flaky, this is a holy grail. I read some reviews that said it’s not your skin balling up it’s just the product, but I assume they don’t have flaky skin and just expected this to make them peel like a sunburn. You can tell it’s your skin because the balls will be beige/brown from your skin cells and much bigger chunks if your skin is mixed in. I like to leave it on for a couple minutes, let it dry, then add a little more to rewet it before I start the circular motions. But skin starts coming off almost immediately when I do the first application. I also tried the Peter Thomas Roth Firmx peeling gel, but I found this one to be more effective, hydrating, and less irritating for 1/4 the cost. Highly recommend

Used this about four times so far which is more than I give most skin care products because they usually irritate my skin. For years I wouldn't "wash" my face with anything or would carefully use Dove Bar soap after sweating working in the yard. When I tell you that everything I ever tried caused immediate and awful results I'm not kidding. This is the first one I've ever tried that I could actually use. I feel a slight tingle when I start rubbing in circles but nothing too bad. I've noticed a slight improvement in the pores of my nose as well. It's not a miracle worker, but I'll give it some more time.
