Hobonichi Techo Weeks [English/Wallet-Size/January 2023 Start] MOTHER: My Friends

I enjoy the weekly quotes that are provided in this planner. I think I will continue to buy the Hobonichi weekly in the future as this has really helped me keep track of the minor yet important things within my schedule. The paper is quote thin and you can see the ink from the other side, however it is a nice paper to write on when. I also enjoy the compactness of the size as it can easily be placed in a pocket if needed.I think I enjoy this planner a little more than the moleskine horizontal weekly as there are more features within the planner as well as more memo pages if needed. The only real minor irritation I have with this planner is that the ribbons fray really easily, might need to get fray glue to prevent this as I have already tried to burn the edges with a lighter but that did not work.

If you don't know, Shigesato Itoi, the guy behind 1995's Nintendo classic RPG Earthbound (or Mother 2 in Japan), was also prolific in other areas of life as an early internet blogger and inventor of the Hobonichi Planner/Journal.This particular techo (Japanese for journal/planner) is a "weekly planner" with plenty of pages for notes and other "collections" (a Bullet Journal term for those that partake).I use this planner as a date book and a bullet journal combination. It's practical and fun. Every day you get to let Ness and friends inspire you creatively while the planner keeps you grounded in reality.

I absolutely love this little planner. It is sturdy, the paper is really nice and does not let ink bleed over. The sections it is split into are fantastic. Not only do I have enough room for daily tasks but can add weekly notes that don't need a specific day. There is plenty of room in the back for notes, lists, etc. It is a bit on the pricy side but still reasonable.

I love this! It is so cute and a great size. This is the real Hobonichi weeks. It came very quickly and is exactly what I expected. I am very happy with this order because it is much cheaper than paying for shipping through the Hobonichi website.

Ugh, I’m such a sucker. You can get comparable calendars at Daiso for $1.75. But the cover is so pretty. Makes me smile.
