When 2 short courses of antibiotics refused to kick my stubborn UTI's ass, I was really frustrated.Why do GPs only give 3 days of antibiotics now for UTIs? Stupid. This product was recommended by my Gynaecologist and I have now been taking 1 gm twice daily for 2 weeks. Birch & Wilde have been extremely efficient with their service and the product seems to be having a calming effect on my bladder. I will write another review in due course when hopefully my UTI’s will be a thing of the past. The capsules are easy to swallow even though they are quite large

Brilliant product. My bladder discomfort and urethral pain has completely gone. I haven't had an uti since I have been taking (2 months). I increase the dose after potential triggers like alcohol - works like a dream. Definitely worth trying if you're in discomfort or plagued by utis.Update - now 4 months later and still free of utis and symptoms. Highly recommended. A supplement that works! My urologist explained that it helps to strengthen the lining of the bladder and recommended that I keep taking it.

Having taken antibiotics for 6 days ( 2 consecutive 3 day courses) for a bladder infection I was still in discomfort with abdominal pain and frequency and was considering asking my GP to prescribe a different antibiotic. Then I read about D Mannose and decided to give it a go. There are different brands available and I spent some time reading reviews and doing a bit of research before deciding on this product. I ordered next day delivery and was keen to get started. I have to admit that I increased the dose advised on the packaging and followed the guidance for a similar product for treating an active urinary tract infection. I took an immediate starting dose of 3 capsules and followed this with 2 caps(10000mg) every 3 hours for the first 2 days (not through the night). On day three I reduced this to 2 caps 4 x day for 2 days and then a reducing dose daily thereafter. Honestly and truthfully, after the first dose of 3 capsules I had relief of my symptoms within two hours. I could tell when they were wearing off after a couple of hours for the first couple of days but by day three I was symptom free between doses. These capsules have been great, I intend to take the recommended daily dose for another week to make sure that everything is settled and remains clear and then keep the rest as an emergency supply should I need them again. Much better than antibiotics on so many levels.

Fantastic product so happy after years of suffering from Cystitis, finally something natural that works. Sick of taking antibiotics, doctor recommended D-Mannose. Looked at the reviews, take 2 a day for prevention and 2 more in evening if symptoms start. Have managed to prevent any infections, so happy. Great packaging and product, large capsules buy manageable. Definitely will reorder regular,highly recommend.

Helpful who has UTI. Long term use necessary though.

This is a must have in your cupboard & suitcase when away. I sadly got a UTI when away on a cruise. I had brought an antibiotic for emergency use & it did give some relieve but didn't clear. After another week away, on returning I saw my GP who perscribed Nitrofuratoin 5 day course, this is suppose to be specially for UTI, but that still didnt clear it, he gave me another prescription 14 day course. I wasn't happy with taking it so began my search on the internet for a cure. I came apond an article about D-Mannose & was amazed at all the good comments. I thought I needed to try this as suffering any longer wasn't an oppostion.I took 2tablets in the morning & 2tablets at night for 3 days, I was feeling the effect working & not needing to run to the loo, I then changed the dose to 1tablet 3 times a day for a further 4 days. This did the trick for me & I have passed the article & picture of these miracle pills on to most of my friends. I hope this review helps others that are suffering, try it you'll be amazed.

This is the second bottle I've ordered. The capsules are large but surprisingly easy to swallow, much easier than other large capsules I've had in the past. I think (and hope) they're helping in preventing further uti's. If I'm convinced that they are, I will give them five stars next time!
