The inside doesn’t have slivers that catch, and the handle itself is really smooth and nice to hold. The needle feels fine when it accidentally punches the fabric instead of the holes. Definitely get these needles if you are invested in the hobby. This length is also perfect for making mug rugs, as the loop length doesn’t make the cup sit wobbly.
