Zondervan NIV Nave's Topical Bible

Excellent
I find that this topical bible is just want I needed and wanted. I have a Naves Topical Bible (KJV) and I find it hard to use simply because of the archaic words. This NIV version is quite good. I understand what is being said and can easily look up topics and find what I am looking for. For those who have never had a topical bible before this is one of the best you can get. I got mine used through amazon from a seller and am very pleased with it. It does not replace a bible dictionary though. I like to use both because at times I come across a word in my preferred translation of NKJV that I don't know and end up finding it in the dictionary then I can look up a similar-meaning word in the topical bible if I want to find more info about it. I think I need a newer dictionary though since it was my fathers and it is quite old and practically falling apart.

I love this book!
This is one of the most helpful Bible study aid books available. I know there may be apps or electronic options, and this book is pretty thick and heavy, but I like having the book in my hand and writing notes in the margin. I like to highlight on occasion, too, and having the book makes that possible.I have purchased a number of these topical Bibles as gifts, and most have enjoyed the great study aid. Some "youngsters" lean toward not having to carry the heavy book, but their generation is not into exercise, either...

I'm enjoying using this resource for looking up scriptures on various subjects. Wish I had it for the ESV but the NIV works almost as well. It's quite helpful for finding info on specific subjects.

NAVE TOPICAL NIV BIBLE
t'is a lovely revisit to the venerable Nave's in the NIV format.it is keyed to the Goodrick-Kohlenberger (G/K) system, not Strong's, so an NIV Concordance is a handy tool to use along side it.btw, there is an index to compare the G/K numbers with Strong's in the back.i really like the font, texture of the paper and contemporary words, all of which make it a welcome addition to the original in one's devotional library.be aware, apparently covers may vary.Proverbs 3:5-8

Unbelievably disappointing
First of all I really wanted a topical Bible in the sense of mainly topics. If I want the obscure names of the Bible I would use a concordance or the internet. (This book is huge.)The main problem, though, is in the layout. It is utterly confusing. The topics are sort of clear but the subheadings are VERY difficult to find on the longer topics. Some of them are in bold, some aren't; some have just the reference listed, some have the whole passage listed. Seems to be no rhyme or reason. Not user-friendly at all.I just looked at the Find What you Believe (A to Z) on Amazon and clicked the "look inside" and it looks like it is very clearly laid out (subheadings are indented and longer ones have outline form). I would recommend that instead.Wish I could get my money back.

Topical Bible
I had problems understanding some of this book. For someone with more education than me, 12 grade, I expect it would be helpful. Not for me.

Geat Book
I really like this book. It breaks downs topics down to the verse. This has a lot of great information about verse and words.
