It's a bolt with a spacer, the spacer is shaped to sit inside the lip of some rivet nuts and isn't threaded so it won't fit all rivet nuts and can't be used to hold the rivet nut from spinning in any way. Save yourself the cost of this tool and just use a bolt and 2 nuts. (thread a nut onto the bolt, thread the bolt onto the rivet nut, place in pre-drilled hole, thread a nut onto the bottom of the bolt below the rivet nut and tighten to lock the rivet nut to the bolt, tighten the upper nut to set the rivet nut while holding the bolt head, this will prevent the rivet nut from spinning)

This item is not as pictured! If the bolt was fully threaded then you could add a nut to help properly expand the rivnut. As it currently is you have to rely on the hole you drilled to be perfect for friction to keep the rivnut from spinning. This it is in no way professional! You would do way better to go to the hardware store and get a hardened bolt along with a nut. Then all you have to do is hold the bolt and tighten down the nut to expand the rivnut. With the one I received I will replace the bolt with a longer fully threaded bolt and nut as the spacer is the only useful part!

High quality, Good tool and inserts. Successful installation requires using the correct drill size for the hole. I wish they supply a good drill bit in the kit of the proper size. I would pay $ 10 extra as the sizes are a little hard to come by.
