It took 5 months for my cat to use it!
I looked at a lot of fountains before deciding on this one. I removed the flower parts from the top so that the water just bubbles up from the center. It is not loud - it's moving water, so of course I can hear it, and it does get louder as the water level gets lower, but it is never what I consider loud. It holds a good amount of water, and it is easy to clean. I have washed all parts, except the pump, of course, in the dishwasher, but more often, I just wash them by hand. I love that the water basin and the top where cats drink are made of stainless steel. If I was going to ask for anything to be different it would be that the other parts would also be stainless steel, and it might be nice if there was a way to know the water level without removing the lid, but that has not been a big deal.My cat sometimes slaps the surface of the water in her bowl with her paw a few times before drinking (which can be messy), so I thought she would like the moving water in a fountain. At first, she would just sit at a distance and stare at the fountain. Several times, I noticed her walk by giving it a wide berth and a lot of 'side eye'. I have a camera on it so that I would know if she drank out of it. On very few occasions, I even saw her walk up to it and sniff then walk away while looking at it over her shoulder. Clearly, she did not trust it! I continued to clean and refill it every couple of weeks. Once the filters that came with it were used, I ran it without filters. This continued for five months, then one day, she just walked up and started drinking out of it as though she had always done so. Silly girl. She has continued to drink from it regularly since that day. Once she started using it, I bought filters and am using them. I clean and refill it every week now that she drinks from it because I am slightly paranoid about water sitting out any longer than that, and besides, she actually drinks a lot of the water out of it within one week.A lot of people might have returned the fountain if their cat had not used it over the first couple of weeks or so, but I had a feeling she just needed time. I did not expect her to need that much time, but I am glad I did not give up.

Works OK cats use it
Cats found it acceptable only 4 stars because there is no water level indicator

Water noise
I liked this fountain, but I exchanged for a different one because the actual water was a bit to loud. It was also to big for just my one cat. It sat on my bathroom counter so I wanted something a little smaller.

My dogs and cat love this thing
But I wish I had bought one that showed the water level! If it runs dry, the pump will break, so you have to open the lid to check it every day or two.

This stays very clean my frenchie loves it!
I have been looking for a water bowl that is easy to clean because my dog is a special needs dog and drools a lot. I love this one it comes clean easily and I run boiling water through it to really clean it, definitely worth the money. It has also never leaked.

Great product…just not for our kitty 🐈⬛
I’ve owned a Cat Fountain just like this—except it was plastic—for over two years. It was time to order new filters and I thought, “Hey…great time for an upgrade to stainless steel!”.The product is super easy to set up…and so quiet that I didn’t know if it was working properly until I saw the bubbles (but I AM extremely hard of hearing, lol). So I asked my 15-year-old son and he said that it was quiet…you can trust his ears more than mine! As for the cleaning, said son above cleaned the fountain several times without my help. It comes with a couple of little brushes to get inside places like the water intake valve and even the motor. I like that the motor has it’s own filter; it really cuts down on the “icky” factor when you go too long between cleanings. (Hey, it happens from time to time…but Revvy-our cat-let’s us know by dunking her paw into OUR water glass when she’s sure we are looking. Then does that fast flicking of her wet paw at us…just in case she was too subtle the first time.. It’s her way of saying “Clean my fountain lazy human!)I do have a couple of reasons I took away one star: There was no way to turn off the light around the rim and it served no purpose for us (plus, ours was broken and lit up only half way around). Also, there was no water level indicator and no “smart pump” technology that would turn the pump off if the water level became too low to safely continue the pump.So why does the title say “just not for our kitty”? Well, keep reading…it’s actually pretty funny. I purposely searched for ALL STAINLESS STEEL products in the fountain (except the motor)…and that’s what I got. It is a shiny thing of beauty. Operative word: shiny. The first time she drank out of her fountain was not a huge deal, as it was almost like the other fountain we had by CatIt. My son and I watched her creep up to it and place her face toward the fountain part to drink. Then, “MEOOOOW! HISSSSS! SPIT!” as she flew upwards and back! Logan and I looked at each other, he asked “what happened”? And I admit, I burst out laughing as I realized something I should’ve thought of before: Revvy could see her very clear reflection in the shiny stainless steel bowl and, to her, it looked like another cat! So, my advice is this: if you have a cat who bats at her own reflection, just let the fountain sit out of the box and in a common area for a few days before filling it with water. Let kitty and fountain make friends first before you expect kitty to use it. She may need to beat it up a few times to show it who’s boss! We’re giving ours away. She just will NOT drink out of it because I didn’t think about her seeing her reflection. So I’m back now, looking for a ceramic one, and mourning the loss of this really great one! And totally beating myself up for not thinking proactively. Sigh…wish me luck!

Very happy!
Read lots of reviews for stainless steel and plastic fountains. Glad I opted for this one as I expect it to last for a long time. Cats like it (kind of iffy at first but didn’t take them long)! Cleaning is a breeze and I like knowing that it won’t be caked in slimy(ness) the way a plastic one would after a few days. A good buy!
