Use a lot of RGB IoT devices. Excellent quality. (UPDATE)
The media could not be loaded. I've tricked out my office with strip lights, Nanoleaf bulbs and leafs, a SteelSeries mousepad mat with programmable colors - and got this to carry my fun color theming elsewhere in the house.OFFICE BUSY INDICATOR: I've now bought 4 of these for my office and home office. I have one lamp at my desk, and one outside my office, and I turn them red when I'm in a meeting, and to other fun colors when I'm not. I do this with a command on my Mac! Instructions below. This product is surprisingly excellent.- It's frosted glass, not plastic. Feels very nice to the touch.- RGBW (not RGB) means it has really nice reproduction of color.- The color fills the orb evenly - not dark and bright spots showing you the lighting elements underneath.- It has two color zones you can set on the top and bottom of the sphere, and you can program it to an alternating setting between a range of colors.- They've put a lot of work into their app-based interface to let you really personalize this well - whether you use their app or Tuya.Pairing:- It DOES pair with Alexa, Google Home, and many others - seems all through Tuya via other apps that use it like Color Panda's own app.Con:- Doesn't work with HomeKit, BUT see my instructions below on how to change the lamp's colors from your Mac, and with additional work, from iOS.Setup Note: I found their instructions confusing.- When you plug this in it'll enter pairing mode.- The Tuya Homesmart app OR the Color Panda app will both recognize it right away. If you already have Tuya-paired devices, you want to pair it with the Tuya app, not Color Panda's app, so that it's on your Tuya account. I was afraid I'd lose functionality that way, but I didn't - you get all the exact same app controls whether you're in Tuya or Color Panda's apps.INSTRUCTIONS TO FELLOW APPLE USERS - HOW TO CHANGE COLORS FROM YOUR MAC (and the main step before using it in shortcuts):I got around the lack of HomeKit integration so I could control this from my Mac and iPhone/iPad. You don't need Hoobs, but you do need a little bit of script understanding. On your mac:1. Install the Tuya app on your phone, not the Color Panda app. They give you the same features, but Tuya's needed to control the lamp from your Mac. Plug in the lamp, tap add device on your phone, and it'll detect the lamp.2. Open Terminal.3. Install "homebrew" (google search it for what to type in Terminal).4. Then type "brew install python".5. Then install TinyTuya on your Mac (this is a command line tool you install in Terminal (command is "python3 -m pip install tinytuya" or if that fails, "python -m pip install tinytuya").6. TEST IT - Now in terminal type "python3 -m tinytuya scan", and it'll find your lamp! Now to change it, you need to set it up in Tuya on the back end.7. Google "TinyTuya GitHub", and follow the instructions there to set your device up on iot.tuya.com (a bit complicated but the instructions are very good), and then use TinyTuya to find your devices with the commands on that same page.8. Use the sample code on that same page to test it out - open a new text file in TextEdit on your mac, type "#!/usr/bin/env python3" at the top (type "where python3" to see if it should be "/usr/bin/" or something else). Paste their sample code in a file, save it as a ".py" file (e.g. file.py). Then in Terminal go to the folder with that file, and type "python3 file.py", and it'll run.9. Now, if you want it to work with iOS, you'll need to set up a shortcut to ssh into your Mac and then run that same command... that's complicated. But you can control it from your Mac!🥺🙏 @Colorpanda, I got this to work with iOS and my Mac myself! Please get this to work with HomeKit so everyone can do what I do.

A change of atmosphere
Wonderful lamp. It has many colors to change them. My bedroom looks amazing since I bought it. I bought 6 of these because my family loved them and they want to have it in their room too.If you like a nice environment I think you have to buy one of this.

Looks great in my set up

Nice color ranges
I was hoping for something that would simulate like the morning sun awake up, but I found out it isn't really designed for that. The color selections are nice and they really can make a room mood cozy. It just didn't seem like it fulfilled all their claims.

Looking for a soft glow colorful lamp?
Looking for a soft glow colorful lamp?We use this lamp in our bedroom to provide a nice soft lightning in the evening. I particularly enjoy the ability to change the colors of the lamp with my phone or a voice assistant command. Additionally, the lamp has a high quality feel and look to it. RecommendedPros:- Colors: The colors produced by the lamp are exceptional. The color diffuses beautifully across the globe.- Control: The lamp can be controlled by Alexa if desired.- On/Off: There is even a physical on/off switch if you want to control the lamp manually.FYI:- Brightness: This is not a reading lamp. It doesn't provide enough light to read a book.

Great product, bad app and instructions.
I used to have a small blue-illuminated orb while I lived in London. I loved it, but could not use it in the US due to voltage and bulb reasons. I always missed that orb, even though it only glowed blue. I was instantly intrigued when I saw this item. Variable brightness. Huge range of colors. Separate color zones for the top and bottom halves. Programmable through an app. WOW! What more could I want? When I unpacked the box, I was first taken by the manufactured quality of this orb. It was much better-made than my blue London orb. It really is an object of beauty, even before it is plugged in. The problems began when I downloaded the Colorpanda app. The app, and the printed instructions for the orb, are some of the worst I have seen. The printed "manual" is laughable. It basically tells you to download the app, which I did. This brought me into the world of a very badly-designed app. Many of the screens are unreadable. Picture dark grey type against a black background with type so small I could not read it. Other screens had light grey type against a white screen, again too small to read. Sections of the app are advertisements for the seller's other lighting products. What I could read indicated complex steps for programming the various lighting abilities the orb is capable of. All I wanted at the start was to turn on the light and create a steady blue glow. In reality, if you simply plug in the light into a USB outlet, the orb will glow and sort of pulsate in a yellow-orange range. I found no way to change anything about this lighting scheme. I could not get the lamp to connect to the app, largely because I could not find legible directions for how to do this. Other reviewers have described similar circumstances, but one or two mentioned abandoning the Colorpanda app and trying again with the Smart Life app. Bingo! Success! The Smart Life app works quite well and can be used to accomplish anything that would have been possible with the Colorpanda app. You need to pair the orb with the app. I recommend starting with the app, and then plugging in the orb. Smart Life will guide you to pair the app and the orb. Then, your fun will begin. The orb itself seems to be very well made. The light sources within it cannot be replaced by the user, so we are instructed that when the lights no longer work, we need to replace the entire unit. I was able to quickly set a steady blue glow similar to the one I missed from London. But this orb can do much more. There are two lighting zones, one for the top half and one for the bottom half. You can set them to the same color, or multiple colors. You can create color transitions that change over time. You can set timers for turning the orb on or off on a schedule of your choice. The quality of light coming from this white ball is very rich and beautiful. If you give this as a gift, you need also to provide detailed instructions for setting up the ball. If you give it to someone who is not tech-savvy, you may need to help that person get it working. I am fairly tech-savvy, but I almost gave up on getting this working. The seller needs to provide a much better written instruction manual, and the manufacturer needs to make the app MUCH MORE user-friendly. Now that I have it working, I am very pleased with the product and delighted to have it.

I can only elect the color selections already programmed
I do love this moon lamp thingy. It’s always on the sunset colors because the app and adding this as a device to the app isn’t as easy as they claim. I ordered this via Vine in exchange for an honest review and I will say it’s absolutely gorgeous set at the sunset colors, however after reading what this was capable of doing for me I think it just fell short of most of those claims. I sure do wish I was wrong and if I can rectify this, I will absolutely update my review. This isn’t for kids and it isn’t cut and dry- easy peasy. It’s more for the tech-savvy person who has everything hooked up to their Alexa.
