anybody when using the headset get a crackling sometimes with audio or microphone use?

Yes. Sadly the Arctis 7 had no issues and were infinitely better, but SteelSeries replaced them with these. There are some pros like USB-C, but the forced PC software and PC controlled audio (vs the old on-board management) were downgrades. Then after 5-mos I got crackling once in a while along with a loud snap 1-3x a day on the left ear cup. They also freeze up and need a hard reset once every 2mos. I tried some alternatives but unfortunately SteelSeries just has the best quality for the price when it comes to wireless headphones. Just a shame they hit perfection then downgraded their own device with the 7+.

Can anyone help me fix chatmix? The right dial on mine doesn't work.

Download the SteelSeries GG application and enable Sonar. It should be fairly straightforward to set that up. For whatever reason they decided you need an app to allow the Chatmix wheel on the headset to work. Very silly imo. However, you'll note with the 7+ specifically, this will break device fallback (when you unplug your headset it will not automatically swap back to your speakers). To resolve this, exit the SteelSeries GG application. Don't minimize it to the system tray, actually completely exit it.
