Elfquest Vol. III: Again, superb
I wrote a review for the last two books and at the end of the second one I was just begging for the hidden year's vol 1-9.5 to be serialized! I preordered this one right away once I learned about it even though I wasn't even sure of the contents which I will now elude to:-- Firstly, Hidden Year's 1-5: In full color! Among the most gorgeous artwork we've ever seen in this wonderful series. The stories are spectacular too. This is every bit as good as everything in the "Original Quest".-- Hidden Year's 8,9 and 9.5: The Rayek backstory culminating in the epic duel with Cutter.--Dreamtime: A fitting end and in some ways beginning to what I would consider the essential volumes in the EQ saga.So you might be wondering what's up with the omission of HY's 6 and 7? The truth is those volumes dealt with the arrival of the High Ones and were likely omitted because Wendy did not draw the artwork in them. That's true with HY's 8 and 9 as well, but they compliment 9.5 which of course is drawn by Wendy herself.

Elfquest Is A Story For Many Generations!
I ordered this as a Christmas present for one of my great-nephews. Last year I gave him Volume 1 even though it wasn't on his list. He loved it. All the other volumes were on his most recent Christmas list. His parents got him Volume 2 so I went with #3. I loved these stories when I was younger and then gave them to my nieces and nephews when they reached an appropriate age. They loved the stories, too. So now we are on a third generation. I hope I live long enough to see another generation of the family enjoy such good storytelling in a graphic format. HIGHLY recommended! Not to kids that are too young as there are some adult themes so know your reader before making a gift. Recommended for adults as well who seek a good story.

Half of the book is uncolored - ElfQuest is still amazing
This is Elfquest, a superb comic and great story. I would recommend these graphic novels/comic books to anyone. The only complaint, only reason for a 4 star instead of 5, is that only half of the book is colored. I grew up reading uncolored reprints in the early 2000s, so its not a huge deal. There is nothing that explicitly states that the entire book, or anything in the book, is colored. So again, not a huge deal, just a bit of a disappointment.

Good
It's good. A few minor flaws (in my opinion) but still a nice way to flesh out "the hidden years". Will look forward to more.

....Wait.....
Is this volume....one shots?Don’t get me wrong there definitely good one shots. But there so scattered that I think there might have been a publishing error for how all over the place it is.

The quest to read vol.3
This volume is significantly thinner, it does however feature colored and greyscale chapters in contrast to the linework of the previous volumes. The drawings have a different texture to them but the story goes on.

Wonderful!
I read Elfquest in my town library when I was younger and fell in love with the World of Two Moons. Now I'm in a place that's not library accessible and I was delighted to find that I could buy it affordably for my own reading pleasure. Part of the back pages were still folded together as they'd not been fully cut apart, but a quick snip of my scissors fixed that problem.
