We have 4 nest thermostats in our home and wouldn’t use another brand. They paid for themselves in the first year with the smart savings.

Nest claims that the 3rd generation thermostats will work without a c wire. I believe that is not the case, but they will be happy sell you a “Power Connector” for about $25. My problem was that we had just installed a Navien tankless system and my contractor said the “Power Connector” would not work on Navien. Loved the look and functionality of the Nest but ended up returning and going with a externally battery powered (not smart) Honeywell RTH7600D.

I have one downstairs and i decided to put one for the upstairs, i really like the way it learns you're routine and i have noticed the upstairs a/c has not come on nearly as often as it did before, nobody upstairs during the day and it compensates for that, let's hope the electricity bill will be lower this month.

I have others already at home. The seller kept postponing the delivery … no tech support

Bought it to control temperature in another place other than our house. It works great.

I bought a refurbished Nest thermostat. It was a little scratched up and the battery next to dead. After days of recharging it still is a little quirky. Not sure if I'm keeping it or sending it back.
