Yes this bat is plastic and is light to hold. My son used it for a Negan costume 2 years ago when he was 10.

Would this be able to make it on to a cruise as a cosplay prop without being taken by security?

I made it through TSA as a checked item without it being taken. I also wrote a note in my luggage just in case....check with your crusie line as well. If your going on the walker stalker crusie have fun I have done it and it was a blast.
