My 9 year old absolutely loved this story.

This book is a real eye-opener and teaches children about all sorts of values like kindness, respect for animals, empathy and not being greedy. It reminds us of what's important in life! Our nursery school children all loved this beautifully-illustrated story as did the teachers!

This was a holiday reading book for a 'reluctant reader' 8 year old granddaughter who loves animals.She couldn't put it down!!

Got this after reading an excellent review in the Times for my 7 year old granddaughter .
