Not quite what I expected but heavyweight for sure.
First of all ... let me say that I will agree with some of the other reviews (good and bad) on two main points ...#1 - This knife is heavyweight and feels like it was made with good quality. If you are looking for something with a bit of heft/weight to it ... this will do. If you want to wear this on your waistband know that it will weight down looser pants enough to cause them to sag.#2 - The 'spring action' assist is minimal on this. 40-50% of the time, it won't lock into place when opened causing you to need to shake your wrist to catch it into place. If you are buying it for a nice easy swing and lock, think again. When you really give the tab a hard push, it locks. If you don't put a lot of finger force into it, the blade will not lock into place and be a potential hazzard.I bought this knife because I would be traveling to LA where crime is pretty rampant and I would be visiting some unsafe neighborhoods for work visits. I wanted a knife to keep on my waistband in the event of an issue or a robbery. Because I was traveling by air, I knew I would not be able to take this back home, so I wanted something inexpensive to leave behind after the week I was there. I would not use this as an everyday knife ... just a little piece of mind when in a scary neighborhood in case I needed protection.I bought this because, while the price is low, it received good reviews which said it was well made and heavy weight. I also wanted finger grooves. While using a smooth handled diving knife once in my teens, I was opening a coconut and the handle slipped and cut my tendon. I would never again use a blade without dedicated finger grooves. This feels safe. The knife itself seems well made. I was nervous when I spotted the word 'knife' spelled wrong (knofe) in the item's description line. If they misspell a word in the first thing you see when looking for the knife, how good could quality control be? The blade could be sharper. However, at this price point, expectations cannot be set too high. You have to screw the clip onto the handle with a small plastic screwdriver, which is included. I did not think this bode well for quality ... but the clip seems secure for fastening to a waistband or thin belt. The closing mechanism to unlock the knife is a bit clumsy. You need to press a grooved lever with your finger which disengages the knife's lock and then you can carefully slide the blade into the handle to lock it closed. This is hard to do safely with one hand and there is a slight chance that the blade could touch your knuckles. (Luckily it is not razor sharp.) I'd prefer the closing tab on the back of the handle. As mentioned, the spring opening doesn't catch every time and can be a bit slow to open. I would think it would be just as easy to use one of the thumb numbs and 'flick' the blade open and locked with a wrist movement, so unless mine is a dud, I don't think the spring opening assistance is a game changer of any sort.I did have to cut a branch off a small sapling with this knife and it was able to hack through the branch well. The knife's weight helped with this. The blade was a bit smaller than I was expecting but overall, if I got in some trouble with a wild dog or robber, I felt comfortable this would increase my chances of escape. As a self defense disposable knife, I have no regrets about ordering it. If it was something I would consider using every day or while camping to cut rope, etc. I'd likely spend more to get something with a sharper blade and a smoother opening. For my needs it was perfect and it looks sleek. I don't think this will dissapoint you as long as you aren't expecting the same quality as what you'd get for 4-5x the price level. One last thing, make sure it's okay to carry this in your area. While it's not as smooth opening as a switchblade, some states would not allow you to carry it because of the 'quick open' feature, although that feature is kind of 'blah' on this particular blade.

we have only one objection to this knife!
sometimes when you buy a a cheap knife you get surprised.when buying knives for their low price point, you should be prepared to get what you paid for. I understand this. As a young life collector growing up, I would often except buying a cheap knife for its luck or style or just a feed that need to buy something. But every once in a while you find a hidden gem. I found knives for five bucks at flea market serve lasted me years. I’ve bought knives without even seeing them because I had a good feeling about them and was rewarded.this knife is one of those rewards! I found this through it news article talking about specials on Amazon. And I saw the price point and said I’m willing to take a chance on that. When I got to the listing I even upgraded to the darker gunmetal version… For a whopping one dollar! Lol… And threw an extra one in my cart.why did I get an extra one? Because I knew as soon as I told my wife about this deal she would immediately ask did you get me one too? And I was ready for her!after about a week of owning this knife we both really love it it’s a heavy weight it’s comfortable in the hand and has a good opening action. Called a blade and everything you could ask for.The only objection we have is… Why is it listed for men because it works just as well for women!

Good value
I had a knife engraved as a gift to a friend, when it got here it was missing a screw for the clip. I was unable to get another screw to replace it, I had to get another knife. To their credit I wasn't charged, but it would seem to me that they should simply Mount the clip before they send the knife. Those screws are tiny and super easy to lose

Good knife and value but it's slippery in your hand
It's a great knife and price but the finish on the body makes the knife slippery as eel snot that's why I rate it a 4
