CAP Barbell 48-Inch Super Curl Olympic Barbell for 2-Inch Weight Plates | Multiple Options

The bar has end caps covering a standard bolt end. I got it and the sleeves kinda stuck and seemed super low end. I pulled off the retaining rings and the end caps then removed the standard barbell bolts and washers underneath the end caps. I pulled off the sleeves and rubbed off the chrome dust and flakes and manufacturing stuff that was stuck inside. I covered the bushings with 3 in 1 oil and reassembled the sleeves. The sleeves spin as well as they can now. The knurling goes slightly under the bushings so it doesn't spin great but it works. The knurling is passive but goes over most of the curves so it works well enough. I got the bar at a great price so I think this bar is pretty good.

I bought this easy arm bar and donated it to my gym. They had 3 already, but were all the same shape but different weights. One bar was a janky lightweight hollow bar, another was a solid heavy bar, and another was about right. This bar has angles the others did not and is more of a perfect weight. I paid attention when I found others using it and asked them how they liked it - explaining I had donated it and wanted others reviews. It is a popular arm bar at the gym now, and I’m glad others find good use from it besides myself. I like doing barbell, easy curl and hammer curl exercises and this bar works great for those variations.

I appreciate the compact size and appearance.Although the paint chips a bit, the overall build quality is fair for the price.This functions well with arm isolation and zercher hip hinges.

The tightening weight plate locker things are those twist-tightening things with the arms that ALWAYS collide with the plate.. Annoying as hell.. The curve of the bar, is just a bit too ROUND, and too "severe". Price is great, it's solid and strong! For the cheapest item I could find.. not bad.But, you MAY... you MAY... eventually wish to upgrade anyway to a bar that "feels" better

Good quality. Love the aggressive angle, really helps with the wrist pressure. Recommend if that is a concern.

I like how this bar has knurl on the inside grips. The majority of supercurl bars have knurl stop before the inside grips. The knurl is very grippy and what I would expect on a more expensive bar. The black oxide finish looks nice with no imperfections on my bar. The bells don’t squeak at all right out of the box. This is an excellent bar for $41. I can’t imagine being disappointed with it.

The end anchors came horribly cross-threaded and galled beyond belief, but I can accept that for the price. (why not just use spring anchors of you can't machine a simple threaded hole).However, when you unbox a package containing a non perishable item, you don't expect it to stink so bad. The inside of the package stank so horrendously, i needed to air out my entire home, wash the barbell with soapy water and tie off the bag containing the packaging. This was literally an eye watering stench that still burns my eyes. Is this some kind of a joke? The burning is akin to an onion, but the smell is like vomit/roadkill. The only reason i don't file a return is because i can wash it and use it. I guess it's fine for the price. BUT B...if i have some kind of reaction to this, i am calling poison control, and an attorney . There is no reason for this. I touched my face after touching the box, and my face now itches. This thing is a chemical weapon and i'd advise you look at a different product.
