What you really need to know before Anatomy, Physiology & Microbiology: A science primer for pre-nursing and other allied health students

This is a must for prerequisites for nursing. I took my anatomy class without it. When my physiology professor suggested it for that class I bought it. I would of been useful for my previous class. The writer is quirky and her written words help. There are videos you can watch by just using your phone to scan the code. It helped me prepare for my class as I had not taken a biology class in a few years. It explains molecules, covalent bonds ions etc....all things you need for starting physiology.

This book does a great job of preparing you for Microbiology and A&P if you already have a science background and just need a refresher. It is so nice not to have to revisit all of chemistry and biology, but really focus on the parts that matter. This book is a lifesaver for people like me who are coming back to the topic after many years. The videos are an especially nice touch to cover material that's too complex for the workbook. Thank you Dr Blankenship-Williams for such a valuable resource!

This book is clear and easy to understand. Videos are added throughout the book that help explain the concepts. The author is personal and seems to truly care about the reader. This book was fun to go through, and I had a hard time putting it down!

Recommend by the professors in the science department. Skeptical at first but it is very informative. Best part are the links in each section for additional help understand and reviewing the various subjects covered. One of the few college books you can keep and reuse when needed, not a waste of money.

East to understand not some medical jargon crap that’s so boring and hard to comprehend….this book helped me pass the new & revised Teas 7 edition….perfect for a refresher, pre-nursing or studying for the HESI or the TEAS exams…..basic chemistry, microbiology, anatomy & physiology….absolutely loved the simple breakdown of things….I HIGHLY recommend this book to add in with your other study books….

This is a one of a kind book! The material is written in such a way it is a fun and exciting learning process. There are interactive pages that allow for videos, activities, and other learning methods to be utilized. Also- don't purchase this from a third party seller. There are people trying to sell this book for over $100. Dr. Lesley Blankenship-Williams set the price of this book to just $35.00 to ensure students would able to afford it, all the while foregoing a profit for herself. She is a professor, and believes in putting students first.

Wow this book is a lifesaver!! I have been out of college for 15 years and am also making a career change from a non-science related industry. I’m taking physiology and was so lost at first as I have not taken chemistry or bio since high school! This book helped me understand all the basics quickly and in terms I could easily understand. ESSENTIAL!!! I can’t recommend it enough.

This is very helpful at all. Just ask people taking up nursing classes. This is just like a grade school interview of "hows school today and what did you do?" Dont waste your money on this book.
