Q: For the blue and white one with the 2 in 1 tub: I'm a bit confused. Do you wash and spin in the tub or wash and then transfer to basket?

Q: What sort of detergent does it use?

Any HE detergent will work. You only use a very small amount.

Q: How much can you fit in it?

This is by loads. Adult clothes two pants 4 shirts an socks. Kids clothes 3 pants and 5 shirts and socks. Baby clothes about 8- 10 outfits. Towls 2 large, 4 wash clothes because they are heavy when wet it won't spin if there two many. Hope that helps.
