ENGELUSA Wireless Cooler Thermometer and Clock

I have one that is used in the Engel refrigerator in my VW camper. Being able to monitor the refrig temp remotely plus show ambient temp while camping is great. The second one I bought is used at home to monitor outdoor temp. The sensor is on the back deck with the read out monitor on the kitchen counter. Very handy. Love it!

Read out could be larger and wireless .

works good to monitor the engle fridge.. my only erk is after spending 1400 on a fridge this doesn’t come with it free..

This is a nice accessory for the Engel fridge or any portable fridge. The instructions are easy to follow, but it's important to read them as there is a set-up process that requires the sending unit and the receiving unit to pair before you proceed with setting the time. If you try to set the clock prior to pairing, the fridge sensor will not show a reading. The sending unit can be placed on the outside of the fridge, but I keep mine in an ambient area just under the lid - see picture (not all Engel units have this space). The small sensor should be placed on the inside of the fridge, but in an area where it will not be damaged by frozen food, or bottles and cans. The display monitor is great and even works in my house when my fridge is in the vehicle outside. My only two criticisms are that the Monitor could have done with something better to mount it on the vehicle dashboard; like a sucker or something. Also, I would have liked to have seen temperature alarm on the monitor.

Bought one and it didn't work, that is the remote wouldn't read the fridge temperature, so I sent it back and they very nicely sent me another one. The second one worked for less than a week and then also quite reading the fridge temperature even though the thermometer in the fridge worked fine and all other readouts worked.

I would have given a five if you could read time on the 12 hour clock and temp in farenheit at the same time without reprograming

I got this as a spare for my Engel refrigerator/freezer.The sending unit only displays Celsius.

The cord on the sending unit broke near the base, just before the reinforced area. That did not impress, although it could have been due to something that was happening inside the frig while I was driving.
