Works great and easy to set up!
I purchased this to keep my plants alive while on vacation. With a little pre-planning, it is super easy to set up, with plenty of materials to complete the set-up. I set it up 45 days ahead of time so that I could experiment on the amount of water for each cycle. It does put out a lot of water when it cycles, so I was able to do 1 minute, 2 times a day (I live in the high desert) and have enough water in a 5-gallon bucket for 7 large pots that will last for over 2 weeks. I did put it in a dry box since it's outside.

Not for outdoor use
I actually really like this device. App is easy to use and install was easy enough. Problem is, it almost burned down my house because I used it outside. It does not say anywhere that it can be used outside, so it was my fault for doing so, but scary enough to mention. The usb port completely melted into the device when a little water got on it. Such little water that I didn’t think anything about it (it was behind plants on a covered porch).Otherwise great product.

Moistenland Successful!
Excellent system!!! I'm so happy with it. I have 2 systems and just ordered my 3rd. I have 12 plants hooked up to each system and all the drippers work. My frontroom looks like a terrarium!

SO Disappointed, Do Not Buy This Product!
I am so disappointed with this product. After reading all the positive reviews, I purchased two units right before going on vacation for 2.5 weeks. Setup was difficult; I have DIGG irrigation set up in my backyard and that setup was so much easier. The drippers are the problem for this product: they don't slide easily into the tubing and they can actually break fairly easily. After spending far too long setting up the system to water my orchids, catnip, and a few aloe plants I monitored the setup for a few days and adjusted the flow spacing and duration to what seemed reasonable. Then, feeling confident, I headed out for vacation. When I got back I found my three orchids floating in overflowing pots. The first orchid in the line (closest to the controller) had drowned and water had overflowed and damaged my floor and the second orchid was close to dead. The third one hadn't gotten as much water and so was in better condition... keep in mind that these plants were less than a foot apart, so it's not like the water had to be pushed through a ton of tubing.Meanwhile, my catnip plant, which was on a shelf a foot below the orchids, had died of thirst. I'd put two drippers into its pot to make sure it got more water than the orchids, but that was apparently wasted effort on my part. According to the product information, the pump should have been easily able to lift water the foot of height difference between the plants, but that was incorrect as well. Just to be sure, I had placed the pump/control unit in at a height in between the orchids and the catnip, but it didn't make a bit of difference in the end.I wish I'd known how useless this product really is; I didn't even open the second unit I bought and I'd have returned it for sure if my 30 days hadn't run out.If you're considering purchasing this product, don't waste your money. Not only am I out the cost of the product, but I now have to replace the plants it killed as well. Save yourself the money and trouble and buy a DIGG system with a pond water pump. You'll be much happier, the setup will be easier, and you won't come home to dead plants rotting in their pots.

BUYER BEWARE!
I bought 2 and thought I had wet the unit somehow (stopped working) and bought a 3rd as a replacement and a 4th for backup. The 3 supply 6 plants in 5 gallon planters (2 each). I took the non-functioning one apart since I no longer have a backup. What I found was poor craftmanship and no quality control. I did not get the unit wet; it was defective from the start. The battery wires were reversed (red should be positive, black negative). Compounding the error the wires n the battery connector were also reversed. This meant that though the colors were wrong the positive to positive and negative to negative connections worked. However, adding to the issues the USB connector was not solder to the mini circuit board and again the wires were reversed on the connector. This means that when the batteries were inserted and the timer was set all was good. Then after setup and the USB was plugged in to power the unit (using the battery for backup), the USB cable, connector, and pump motor blew out. I noticed when the water did not go down as expected and the plants began to suffer. In this failed condition the units display may flash or continuously recycle through the settings. Once I corrected the wring I could see that it would allow you to set it up as normal so long as the pump motor was not connected since it was blown. Now I have a dead unit that cost me nearly $50 because the supplier / manufacturer failed. If you buy one check it with the batteries alone (full voltage), the USB alone, then both together with the batteries installed and the USB plugged into AC. Do this before you go through all the work with your plants. If it were more powerful, had a separate manual on/off switch, longer USB cable (10 FT), and black tubing, it may actually be worth the price.AND OF COURSE IF THE QUALITY WERE BUILT INTO THE PRODUCT.I hope this helps future buyers. Otherwise the units are good once you understand the limitations on how many planters they can support. As a note to buyers, the supplier, and the manufacturer I use 1/4" tubing in a halo fashion with 4 holes punched for dripping (1 unit supports 2 halos, that is 8 holes total).
