Training Snap Caps for Dry Fire Training Dummy Rounds Practice Safe Loading Firing

I am new to pump action shotguns and wanted to get a lot of practice time loading, unloading and "shooting" snap caps before using live ammo. These snap caps are very well made and even have a replaceable rubber plug where the firing pin strikes. They cycle well through the 590. Great choice for safety and practicing.

I had a more known brand before these, which cost more for two, and they got chewed up quickly and the coating came flaking off every time they were used. I really love these snap caps they are solid which gives them a weight close to a live round for a better feel when training. They are also a great value since I got 10 for the cost of the "better" known brand. I was so impressed with them I quickly ordered another set is a different caliber.

They fit like a right sized glove and work well. They are good to practice with. The color can never be mistaken for live ammunition, thereby keeping you safe. And while I don't need 10pcs, it was a good value purchase.

Update 04/07: Changed to 4 stars. The seller contacted me on their own after seeing my review. They worked to identify which batch I had received and quickly sent replacements. Running them through 3 rifles again, 2 of the 10 new ones still had minor issues chambering, but not nearly as bad as the first batch. Requiring just a thumb press on the forward assist they did fully chamber and cycled just fine. However, I was able to find 2 from the original set that chamber without issue to make up a full set of 10. I'm now very satisfied with the product and the customer service from the seller was exemplary. Thank You! Original---------- They appear well made, but they are out of spec. More often than not they fail to go fully into battery and jammed within the first 3 rounds. I had to mortar it out. First thinking it might be that particular 5.56 barrel I tried them in 2 other 5.56's rifles. Both known to eat anything. Steel or brass. The result was identical. 2 out of 3 failed to go into battery and I had to mortar one of them out of another rifle as well. Given some time I might be able to isolate and pick out a few that cycle reliably, but I'm not going to waste my time and risk doing damage to the chambers.

These dummy/dry fire rounds are true to size in 5.7 x 28. One of the best and most inexpensive ways to improve your trigger press and manipulation skills with your firearm is to use dummies. These are some of the best. They fit perfectly in the magazine and feed into the chamber perfectly. They can also be used on the range by mixing with live ones randomly to simulate malfunctions and practice malfunction drills.

Well made, nice weight, actions perfectly. I was happily surprised to see they came in a nice plastic case, but the second time I opened it the tabs started snapping off. It was a freebie so I can’t complain

I've never dry-fired my Tikka T3X but figured that after getting these snap-caps, I'd give it a try. It's kind of nice to be able to make sure everything sounds right after oiling without having to wait for the next day at the range. So far I've put about 200 activations through these Angeebin training snap caps and haven't had any issues so far. I like the fact that they come with replacement pads (made from rubber, it seems) for when they eventually wear out. The weight is pretty close to a real .270 WinMag shell so that's pretty neat that they got the weight correct, unlike others that are very very heavy or incredibly light. Five stars all the way!!

Only two dummy rounds work. Rest will not allow bolt to close.

These work as expected. Very good for training purposes.

While these rounds are slightly heavier than a standard 110 grain round. They are certainly of quality. These dummy rounds are sitting at 15.04-15.10g where as a real round is around 12.6g. All the dummies were identical in make and as mentioned above are only off by points of a gram over the whole bunch. They came with extra pads and a SIM card like pokie key to remove them. My only mention (and it’s a small one) is that the rounds aren’t fitted to the case like other models from this brand as they are smaller rounds. Other than that I have no complaints and would certainly recommend regardless. Thanks for stopping by!
