This worked great and brought new life to my broken Water Pik
Installation was very simple. The longest part was to cut the plastic holding the hose in a coil in two places, but once installed, I ran the machine two cycles before trying it out again and realized how much I missed the machine. I also ordered the rubber valve and a new tank but haven''t replaced those just yet. The Water Pik is something I'd like to use after each meal

Easy install
This was easy to install and a perfect fit. However, my water pic no longer seems to have the same force it had before the install, so I wonder if the tubing has a smaller diameter. Regardless, I’m still using my water pic, and wasn’t required to buy a new one.

Repaired BETTER than a new unit (seriously)!
So I had a 6-year old Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser (model WP-100) and the hose finally cracked. At this time I didn't know replacement hoses were available online. So off to Walmart, and I purchased a brand new WP-100 . . . it looked identical. However when I turned it 'on' . . . WOW, my wife and I both thought the pump motor was incredibly loud and obnoxious and it could be heard all through the house. In addition, on the prior use if the tank had been left with some water remaining in it, completely reasonable, then when you lift the tank to add more water, the water streams through the hole in the bottom of the tank and gets the base unit wet and the bathroom counter. This didn't happen with my 6-year old unit. So I returned the new one to Walmart for a 2nd new replacement, and while this one was a little quieter yet still loud, this tank also leaked when it was disengaged. That is when I decided to return it too and look on the internet for a replacement hose. SO GLAD to find it here, and the replacement took just 2 minutes, and my old 6-year old unit is working as good as it ever did . . . which is MUCH BETTER than an identically-looking new unit from the store. Why would the WaterPik company take a perfectly good WP-100 design and mess with it? Perhaps they hired some 'bright' collage grad who switched to cheaper motors and cheaper seals to save the company a ton of money in mass production. (Very short sighted).

Good quality and good tubing
The Achilles heel of WaterPiks is the supply hose to the hand-held wand. No matter how careful one is, the hose always breaks right at the base of the wand. Rather than replacing the whole machine, you can easily replace the wand and supply line, including the coupling that screws into the base of the pump. The OEM part (from WaterPik) is no longer available on Amazon.com, so I tried this reasonably-priced and well-reviewed part. It’s very easy to replace, but be aware that this doesn’t come with screws or the reed that fits into the connection between the coupling and the base of the pump, so make sure you save those when making the exchange. The saved reed is a very delicate circular membrane with a flap that must be properly oriented in the connection hole (one side of the hole is flat, which corresponds to the flat edge of the reed). Observe its position before carefully extracting it. It’s easy to tear, if you aren’t careful. If it’s lined up properly when you remove the old coupling, just leave it in place. If not, remove it and reposition it exactly right! Next, dampen the O-ring of the coupling to ease pushing the coupling into the hole. Line up the screw holes in the base with the screw tabs on the coupling, and don’t twist the coupling as you are seating it into the hole. You risk messing up the reed's position, if you twist the coupling to align it. Also, make sure you feed the wand in to its proper position before you connect the coupling to the pump. Replace the screws you saved from the old coupling, by gradually tightening the screws evenly until they are seated fully. Don’t over tighten them. My WaterPik works as good as new, and the hose appears to be a bit more pliable than the OEM hose, so maybe it will last longer!
