Oxford School Shakespeare: GCSE: GCSE Romeo & Juliet Revision Workbook

My daughter used this Oxford School Shakespeare guide for her GCSE revision. It's well written and has a lot of useful ways of displaying the information, such as pictorial guides and flow charts, which is ideal for kids who don't like to just look at a lot of text.The book has a good typeface, is easy to read and lays out the foundations of what you need to know for the exams in a way that helps you to remember them. She found it more useful than the books given out at school and a lot of it matched what she was then asked in the Exam itself.

I teach English and my daughter is currently revising for her GCSEs, including this text. I am really impressed by how engaging and well structured this guide is. It's not board specific, but it covers themes and characters in depth, building up to looking at model answers and quote analysis. It's really well done and would help the conscientious student in revision. There aren't any answers included in the book - but in any case as is the nature of analysis of the play, answers are subjective and possibly best looked at by a teacher or peer for feedback. I like the fact that this guide is not too "busy" or crowded with information and everything is clear with space to write.As a teacher, and a mum I fully recommend this workbook. It's really well done, clear and easy to use.

It surely will help achieve high results.
