Velcro is very strong.
I ordered a pair of the 12" length hold-down straps for a bike LED project on my 7-yo daughter's 24" MTB, and it worked perfectly for what I wanted to do.I installed an LED strip on the frame of my daughter's bike which gets powered by a 5V power source. I did it for improved nighttime visibility. As a power source, I'm using a 5,000 mAh power bank but I was experiencing some difficulty installing it onto the bike. The power bank is too small for the water bottle cage, and I didn't want to use messy tape that needs to be reapplied frequently.Thanks to these super-strong Velcro straps, I was able to secure the power bank to the seat tube of the bike firmly without it falling off during bike rides.5 stars.

Not for heavy use
I tried using these to strap my boat oars down in my boat,but when I pulled on the strap to get it tight it broke. They work well, just don't pull too tight.

Can't have enough of these!
I can't have enough of these type of storage straps around. I love using them to strap a few fishing rods together to travel, or to strap them to my day pack, etc. Great for all kinds of gear!
