A Digital Pet That Needs Your Love and Attention
Tamagotchi, the iconic virtual pet, has been captivating kids and adults alike for decades. These tiny digital creatures require constant care and attention to thrive. If you're looking for a low-maintenance, portable companion, a Tamagotchi might be just what you need.Pros: * Portable: Tamagotchis are small and easy to carry with you wherever you go. * Low maintenance: While they require daily care, the tasks are simple and manageable. * No mess: Unlike real pets, Tamagotchis don't produce waste or require cleaning. * Educational: Caring for a Tamagotchi can teach children about responsibility, time management, and empathy.Cons: * Requires attention: If you neglect your Tamagotchi's needs, it may become unhappy or even die. * Limited interactions: While Tamagotchis can respond to your actions, the interactions are fairly basic. * Can be addictive: Some people find it difficult to put down their Tamagotchis and may become overly attached to their digital pets.Overall, Tamagotchi is a fun and engaging way to experience the joy of pet ownership without the real-life responsibilities. If you're looking for a low-maintenance companion that can provide entertainment and education, a Tamagotchi is definitely worth considering.

Finally got it after waiting for so long
I've been eyeing this shell for months. Finally got it on sale. Didn't realize how small and cute this model was until my Tama mail arrived at last. It's between a Nano and a Connection size-wise and gameplay-wise.The Dreamy shell has a beautiful 90s pastel girl vibe; Sailor Moon, Care Bears, My Little Pony, Lisa Frank type design-- brings back fond memories. The gen2 is a very simple Tama that you can take care of at work or school without worry. It's not very needy and doesn't die so easily. It makes a sound when it needs you, but nothing overwhelming. Just make sure it's hunger and happiness don't deplete fully and your Tama will be OK until it's their time to go after being an adult for who knows how long. The mini game is simple (it's a probability game, so no winning or losing for the most part) and each time you play your Tama loses a pound. This model does not have in-game currency (like the Connections, etc) nor a shop.Food and snack are the same from baby to adult stage.Pausing greatly slows the growth of your Tama so be prepared to have a toddler or teen for days if you leave the clock on "Set" as a way to pause the device on busy days. The gameplay functions like that of a Nano except you can check your Tama's stats in the stats menu: hunger, happiness, age, weight.A collector's must-have. It brings me comfort when I'm stressed or anxious. Fits in any size pocket and can be clipped to a bag etc.

An absolute nostalgic gem!
It takes me right back to my childhood, when taking care of my virtual pet was a daily ritual. The design is adorable, with the dreamy pastel colors giving it a fresh, whimsical look while staying true to the classic experience. The simple, familiar gameplay is exactly as I remember it—feeding, playing, and cleaning up after my little creature feels just as rewarding now as it did back then. It’s a perfect blend of nostalgia and fun, and I’m so happy to have this piece of my childhood to share with my child!

Great way to teach responsible
I recently purchased a Tamagotchi for my daughter, and it has been an absolute hit! She loves taking care of her little virtual pet, and it's been a great way to teach her responsibility in a fun and engaging way. The design is adorable, and it’s easy to use. She enjoys feeding it, cleaning up after it, and watching it grow. Overall, I’m thrilled with this purchase. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and educational toy.

It's what it says it is
Not a lot to say, it's a classic needy Tamagotchi, its got a cute protection shell and the see through case is just very good. I wouldn't have purchased it if it wasn't on sale for sure though, I don't think it's worth more than $25.

Reminded me of my childhood
My kid wanted one of these for a present so we got it. She picked out the color and character combination she liked. She played with it for awhile. The buttons were easy to push and she didn’t have any issues navigating the device. It was nice to have a moment of nostalgia hit when I saw her playing with it

Brings back good and bad memories
I got one for me and my daughter since it was sentimental for me. It’s similar to the ones I had in 3rd grade when they first came out, but it was loud, annoying, and needed lots of attention at night. Not a fan anymore.

Toy
This toy we bought for a 5 year old. Very demanding keeping it alive.

Best gift ever!
Well this was a blast from the past! My brother mentioned he wanted to get a dog, and that reminded me of these! I promptly bought one for him and it was quickly decided that he would not be able to keep a real dog alive. Crisis adverted. They were fun as kids and still fun as adults. If you’re thinking of getting one - don’t wait!!

The Nostalgia
It works great, as a millennial I really enjoy having one again. I don't remember them being this small though. Maybe as an adult with bigger hands than when I was little it just seems smaller. Dunno.
