Outstanding product. I bought it based upon reviews here on Amazon. Here's my take. Fits a bit big, but roomy in a good way. The back is made of a weave that lets out heat. It really works. It's made in Egypt, where they grow some of the world's best cotton and where it's Africa hot (being in Africa and all), so they know a thing or two about keeping cool. This shirt did not disappoint.

This is a wonderful shirt.
This is a wonderful shirt.. It fit true to size. It is very lightweight while looking professional. I bought these for my adult son, who is a chef, but sweats in the kitchen due to the heat. These are thin enough, that a t-shirt would not bother you. The material is not see though, however is breathable. My son hated the whites he had to wear in the kitchen at school. I believe these work very well for him. I would order again many times.

Ignore the size chart. These coats have nothing to do with the sizes 0 - 8. Normal men's sizes seem to be correct.
Nice chef coat. To address the size chart...it means nothing. These appear to be normal men's sizes. I got a large and it is probably a size too big but I like the fact that I can move freely in it. The mesh back is not see through but appears that it will help with hot kitchen situations.

Great coat at a good price
Great chef's coat for the money. I'm a home cook who doesn't need a super-fancy jacket that will survive the daily grind of a professional kitchen. I just wanted something light weight that will keep me clean while I cook and this coat certainly fits the bill. The mesh on the shoulders almost makes me forget I'm even wearing it and the sleeve pockets work great for my thermometer or a pen. I went with the black shirt since I tend to be clumsy and I'm sure I would have constant reminders of tomato stains if I went with a white coat. It fits true to size, would buy this coat again.

It is light enough to where she doesn't feel like she is suffocating as chef coats can make you ...
This was bought as a gift for someone who works in a hot kitchen all day. She likes the breathability of the back panel of the the coat. It is light enough to where she doesn't feel like she is suffocating as chef coats can make you feel that way. It does not get in the way and she doesn't ahve to worry about it while working. I bought a second one as a gift.

Its slimming, and you're not too sexy for it
I'll start off by saying at first i had my doubts.the back "cool vent" feels like ultra thin fabric that well feels cheap. But after using it for a while working in various sweltering kitchens (saunas will feel like hockey rings in comparison) its grown on me. I usually like to test things out and get a feel for em before i say anything about em. This one definately earned my seal of approval. The thing feels like a regular chef coat, but its more vented, so if you're working in the northwest id get a longer sleeved coat and just roll the sleeves up cause the cold will grip you when you're in the walk in fridge or freezer. Its great, its a decent price (Keep scrolling down your search results, you'll see it gets worse price wise) so i say, if you're a cook, you wanna stay cool, this isn't a bad choice. Its not for everyone, but its good for me.

Way cooler than a traditional chef coat
Definitely cooler than a traditional chef coat and more comfortable. I will be buying more. One small complaint is with the sleeve pockets. As with most chef coats there are two pockets, one smaller than the other. Typically that's where I stick my thermometer. In this coat the "thermometer pocket is towards the front and the thermometer head gets in the way. Probably only an annoyance to me.
