This book can change people's lives!
Reading this book was one of the best things I have done for myself lately.I really resonated with the author in many ways (for example his journey from physical therapy to life coaching, as well as volunteering for a local community, my story is a bit similar) and I really admire his passion and honesty. Personally, I don’t like books written by “perfect gurus”, or over-certified experts who only throw some empty definitions and concepts. I prefer to receive valuable life lessons from people who admit they are fragile human beings looking for progress rather than faking perfection. Reading this book felt more like having an awesome and super energizing conversation with the author! I will read it again for sure. It felt really good and peaceful. This read has really inspired me to embrace mindfulness and I now feel more empowered on my journey to authenticity. Even though I am not new to mindfulness/meditation/healing and wellness, I got a lot from this book. I have been following Matt’s recommendations for only a week now, and I can feel the change. I even feel like my muscles are more relaxed and I am more focused. This is why I want to carry on…!To sum up-> thank you Matt for such a well written and informative book. Very enlightening and I believe it can change people’s lives.

The formula for happiness and peace of mind
I’m a “NOW” junkie having hung out with Eckart Tolle’s “The Power of Now,” for several years and this book about “How to Live in the Present Moment by Matt Morris gives old Eckhart a run for his money. And that is saying a lot because having been as I said, hanging out with Eckhart, I didn’t think anyone could compete. The author tells us right off and several times throughout the book that we should devote 80% of our thoughts or time to the present moment, 10% should be give to learning from the past and the remaining 10% to the future. We’re all given the ability to joyfully experience the present but instead spend our time lamenting past mistakes and traumatic events instead of focusing on the simple things we could do immediately.Liked the author’s bucket idea to deal with past memories, the I love you game and the I’m in love with you variant and what he had to say about multi-tasking but the main thing I like about this book is the practical applications and the stories the author shared and the realization that the present moment, the now, is all there is.

Well-written book with a nice message but not a lot of substance
Overall, it's a great message and it's well written, but there isn't a lot of new material that isn't found in other books. This book offers many nice, feel-good stories, as well as practical (but obvious) advice. When I bought the book I was hoping for a different perspective on the topic or a more thought-provoking insight, which I did not get from it. However, I don't regret reading it (it's a very easy, quick read).

Live in the NOW!
I have been following Matt for a while now and I had been really looking forward to this particular book and I can honestly say that I am BLOWN AWAY! This book was so relevant for me in my life right now and I really gained some great perspective and clarity on my life after reading it.I loved all the great examples and ideas that were delivered. Just about all the advice and guidance was practical for me. I am even considering adding meditation to my morning routine because of the ideas Matt gave to me from reading the book. For far to long I was afraid to let go of the past and after reading this I am committed to letting go and start living in the NOW. Matt has inspired me to appreciate the little things in my day to day life and stop worrying about things that you can't control.Very happy he decided to write this book as it taught me some great lessons. It was very well written and I almost wanted more because I was really getting into it.Will look and wait for more content by this author as I can't recommend him enough!

Importance of living in the present
Looking back I could never imagine myself reading self-help books. I wasn’t the type who would sought out books to improve one’s self. I’d rather read a book to be entertained by make-believe worlds. But as I grew older I realized that books are more than just a form of entertainment. Life lessons can also be picked up from reading. This book in particular is about how important it is to live in the present rather than dwelling so much about the past and worrying too much about the future. Probably easy to say if you’re single and carefree but for a father like me it is close to impossible not to worry about my family’s future all the time. What I like about the book’s format is instead of enumerating what you need to do like a cookbook it shares the stories of other people. I learned a great deal from reading the stories of Jack, Michael and Sarah to name a few. The author also shares his personal experiences as well. I shared this book with my wife and she was also touched by the lessons learned in this book. I’m sure you will too.

Get happy now!
Matt Morris and his book have given me tools and an outlook that is resulting in real happiness through living in the present. The book is enlightening; I’m learning to stop worrying about the future and stop regretting past events. The price is right, it’s an easy read, and it’s worth having around for future reference as well.

Great read with many important points on how to life life to the fullest in the present moment.
This is a great book for anyone who suffers from overthinking or who has anxiety or depression. Many of us have a hard time focusing on the present moment and this book is a riveting instruction for bringing your mind to the present time. The author is also vulnerable and brave enough to confess his own struggles and how he has come to bring us this work of art and compassionate guide to the present moment.

Informative!
There has been this new movement around the whole concept of mindfulness. I have recently finished Thrive by Arianna Huffington, and in her book she also goes on about this mindfulness experience for a while. So that is why I decided to grab this book since it had many good reviews as well. Let me tell you that I am glad I did. This is not a short introductory guide about the topic. The book actually goes into details and is a step-by-step guide as life coach Matt Morris dives deep into his and his students' personal struggles, showing the reader how to overcome them with the Power of the Present Moment. I am sure there is a lot you can learn from this book. Do not hesitate to grab it and learn to live fully in the now.

This book is beautifully written and is quite probably the best book about this subject available at the moment. The strategies and concepts are easy to grasp and apply/practice right away. Living one's daily life and using your energies and thoughts 10% past, 80% present,10% future is so helpful. The authors personal journey and struggles give honesty and integrity to the writing and reading the book is like going on a journey of personal learning. It's easy to understand, so readable and transformational if that is where you want to go at this particular time of your life and probably life changing. The book achieves what it sets out to do and so will the reader he/she follows what is suggested. I would recommend this book to all readers and especially readers and learners of personal development.

Really Enjoyable Read
I really enjoyed this book. It is written in a way that is full of valuable information, but not too heavy to read. I liked how it included information from research studies, science, stories of well known people and total strangers, as well as quotes and personal anecdotes.

Let go of worry
“Mindfulness: How To Live In The Present Moment” is a well written guidebook to reducing your worry and being better at living in the present moment. There is a lot of good, solid, practical advice, along with real life examples, that help clarify the guidance in the book. I enjoyed the little “Inquiry” Exercises in each chapter; a nice touch. Good practical advice.
