Unique Loom Solid Shag Collection Area Rug (5' 1" x 8' Rectangle, Grass Green)

When I opened the packaged, the rug smelled strongly of vinegar/acetic acid. I left it on a screened in porch for a week and the vinegar odor was gone. Now I'm left with a rug that immediately makes an average sized bedroom stink from the smell of the green dye used. If you are at all sensitive to chemical odors, don't get the grass green color. Which isn't actually grass green, or if it is, it's a very anemic grass green at best. This lawn would be in sore need of a good watering and some fertilizer if it was real grass.

I swear it's the same rug I took to my dorm room in 1974!

Despite being shag it’s super easy to vacuum and is super soft! Color is just as vibrant as in the pictures.

I just bought this carpet for my kids playroom. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money, because I’m sure it will get trashed quickly with 3 kids. We just received this carpet 3 days ago and we love it! It’s the perfect green for our nature themed playroom. I wanted a green carpet to look like grass. It came with no odor (unlike other reviews stated). It also had a nice 1 inch strip of a rubber On the underside to keep it from slipping. It has stayed put for the past 3 days with kids running all over it (it’s placed on top of tile). It’s not the softest rug, but I didn’t expect that out of a $50 carpet. It’s not the roughest I’ve felt either though. It’s a great carpet and I highly recommend you give it a try.

I love this carpet! It's very soft and looks like grass! I love that it blends in perfectly with my living room forest theme! However, there is an odd smell! Just put carpet freshener to get the smell out!

Arrived yesterday and couldn't wait to get home to see it. I was not disappointed! The color is true to the sellers picture - my pic was taken at night with just lights on, so appears darker. I love everything about this rug. The pile, the color, the FEEL on your bare feet, the PRICE (was on sale for $48). It's so soft, and I tried a few barefoot dance moves on it and you can even DANCE on this thing! Which made me extra happy. I've not had a shag carpet in my home since the 1970s...this is so much fun in so many ways. When this one is past it's prime, I WILL be purchasing another one.

**UPDATE: I've had this rug for five months now and I still love it! It's in the center of my living area so it gets daily traffic, but it still looks just as nice as the day I bought it. If it starts getting matted down I run my vacuum over it and it looks good as new! The grass green color is so vibrant.** I love this rug. The color is perfect for my decor. It's nice and plush. I'm able to run my vacuum over it with no problems. I followed the instructions that came with the rug and within a couple days it was laying flat.

I ordered the green rug and I love the color, and the feel. It's super soft and comfy for bare toes after a long day. And you can't beat the price! The only reason it wasn't 5 star worthy to me was for the first week or so it had a terrible smell... almost like cat urine. It fades over time so it's not terrible but there's a warning before you buy it. Overall, really satisfied with the rug.
