SINGERConfidence 7640 Sewing Machine with 2 Years Warranty

I was worried about the negative reviews but glad I bought it. I had my mums singer from the 70's for years but knew things like a needle threader (I can't live without now) and extra stitches that can now be done on a computerised machine it was time to upgrade and I couldn't be happier, so quick and easy to thread, used the walking foot for the first time, so brilliant....I'm confident using a machine and I'll be able to do so much more. It's true it's not heavy duty, I haven't tried denim I expect it may struggle more than my old one which would go through anything but I'm being more creative with patchwork and quilting rather than just dressmaking and so far this has been a dream, ive ordered a free motion foot ready to practise something new, I would definitely recommend this, big enough to continue doing what I already did but with more scope with the stitches that can be adjusted. I'm very happy :-)

Fatal. Compré la máquina en Agosto y hay varias funciones que no funcionan. El comprador no se quiere hacer cargo y no contesta, Amazon me rechaza la devolución sin dar explicaciones y el fabricante no arregla máquinas de Turquía así que no tiene garantía en España, ni en el momento ni en el plazo de dos años que tiene de garantía. Es una estafa y todo el mundo escurre el bulto. Aún sigo esperando que me devuelvan el dinero que no es poco.

I bought this machine less than a year ago, it has already given problems twice.I had to pay £ 27 to send them and I paid another £22 for the repair too, because they said that the 2 YEAR warranty would not cover that repair.I am waiting for their answer, because I want another machine, or my money back.

Just getting to grips with this, a broken needle later discovered that threaded incorrectly due to poor diagrams, did better thanks to you tube lessons. I had a CD Rom with my machine, so had to download and print, some instructions are good while treading images not so good as there are 2 loops the thread through on the front of the machine. My only gripe with it.I was delighted with the speed of delivery, expected it to arrive eight days after it was delivered. Thank you very much

The machine just would not sew over a simple pleat.
