Trash Foreplay (Trashy Affair Book 1)
Jules ran away from home because she had a affair and broke up with her boyfriend of five years. On the plane to Seattle she met Cash. They spoke to each other all the way there. She was afraid of flying and Cash talked her out of the fear of flying. Cash was angry because his wife was cheating on him, he didn't tell Jules he was married. Jules ends up working for him as he was the CEO of his company. She became his assistant. Every day they became closer to each other, fighting against the pull for each other until Cash gave in and went to see her and told her he couldn't live without her in his life. Finally he goes back home to tell his wife that he wants to be separated from her and finds the police in their penthouse. The police say she is missing! To be continued! This story had it all. Enjoy

Secrets, excitement, and deceit
Gem a James never fails to keep me stuck in a book until I finish it. I love these characters, their instant chemistry and their fast growing love. Jules is leaving a relationship that she blames herself for the ending and on her flight to Seattle meets Cash who is in a marriage where he knows his wife is being unfaithful but complications keep him from ending it. I recommend this book to everyone who is a Gemma James fan or looking for another author to follow. I can't wait to start book 2.

Aaaaaaaaaaaa, this goes into my,”I wanted to like this but.....” file
Ok,from title and the cover and the desc.,I thought I was getting ,two ppl with off the charts chemistry and an amazing connection that right or wrong just had to have each other...And even though they were cheating like them you didn’t want to care because they has this connection that just couldn’t be denied....Only, they did .... more or less repeatedly... they’d hem,and they’d haw, agonize and apologize... they’d lust and they’d want.. walk away and then rinse and repeat...They . Weren’t. Trashy.They. Were. Agnsty and Annoying! Now for me two paths would have been ok here...Path one) like I said, one where they met on the airplane and have this instant electrifying mental, emotional, physical connection that just couldn’t be denied and either on the plane it’s self as they flirt and tease and get to know each other or later soon after deplaning they quickly go down the rabbit hole in a nearly hotel or definitely they go down it the next time they meet three weeks later...If the “trashy” had started later at her interview to work for him, because they wanted, needed or desired each other soo badly and had each other on his couch or desk or personal bathroom and said to hades with the repercussions we’ll deal with then later and did... that would have been great, and probably fun and exciting and sexy...OrPath two, this would be where they met had all that exciting explosive electrifying chemistry and attraction and connection and yet when they discussed the fact he’s married and then went their separate ways, they always left it to “fate” to bring back together... ⚠️ possible spoilers ⚠️Soo when they see each other again for her job interview the h is smart and DOESN’T take the job.... maybe goes back to her friend and works at a Seattle cliche ( a coffee shop) and finds ways to start a new life w/out a married man she doesn’t want to let herself have... meanwhile the H at the very least moves out of the penthouse he shares w/his already cheating wife he doesn’t really want and we wait to see how fate/the writer will bring the two MC’s back together again... while we see both learn and grow and evolve as the get closer and closer to each other ...Either way to me could have been amazing...But we don’t get the red hot route of path one or the slower slightly cold of path two...No, we get the lukewarm B S of a third path... they meet and agonize, and want and lust, swinging back and forth between lust and guilt and angst and anger for over a month when the h foolishly takes the job w/the married man she’s deeply in lust with.... she doesn’t seem to do much but go to work and drool over him for 86% of the book... same with him... neither want to move backwards but their not really moving forwards either...Trashy ? No.... try full of angst ridden lust til chapter 24 out of 28 when Cash finally cant take it anymore and just has to have her......Sigh.... I didn’t really care anymore, these two constantly pushed the other away but he didn’t even try to leave his ‘wife”,coz as usual “it’s complicated “... yeah, sure...And Jules didn’t even try to start a real life there in Seattle that didn’t revolve around Cash in some way, shape or form...The title and the cover and desc. do NOT paint a true picture here and I didn’t enjoy what I got instead...Hey,I’m NOT a fan of cheaters ..... at all..I’m funny about that...The moment my guy meets his girl/h he loses me if he sleeps w/another woman... and he better have a dang good reason if he does... I didn’t like Cash letting his wife going down on him late in the book... but if these two had had a out of control passion I could feel I could and would have bought into it.... but after the third or forth time they’ve pushed the other away just to go home and moon over the other to just rinse and repeat it,they lost me...Read if you want but I can’t recommend...

Sublimely Seductive.
Reviewed by Klaire Sutherland on behalf of KFFOh my word, Gemma James…what did you write lady? When I signed up for Trashy Foreplay, I did so with great trepidation. The last book I read from Gemma James was from the Condemned series; dark, twisty books that assuaged my palette for reading. I loved those books, and still they remain among one of my favourite series. I was wary about reading her New Adult work in case it disappointed. I knew it was different but the irresistible pull of this author, and the way she writes, pulled me in.I hoovered the first chapter, falling in love again with the way this author so eloquently writes. I was immersed in the feels and the emotions that were emoted through her character, Jules, who we meet first. Then in walks Cash, equally emotive and just as devastated as Jules. From the moment they meet, you feel it, and you just know Trashy Foreplay is going to drag you through the ringer. There’s nothing trashy about this novel. Nothing. I’m not recapping the story here, you need to read it and make up your own mind. From a technical point of view, Trashy Foreplay is as cliched and overdone as you can get. But Gemma James takes the plot and absolutely owns it, makes it her own. The book put me a little in mind of Mo Mabie’s Bait. That’s not to say it’s a carbon copy, because it’s not, the book is so far from it. However, Gemma James writes some exquisite angst that rivals Bait, another book I loved for this very reason. I fought to find the right words to describe how I felt through many of the chapters. Watching Jules and Cash struggle had me feeling hopeless on occasions. Despair – it’s the only word to sum up a large portion of my feelings while reading. We have to talk cliff hangers – because Trashy Foreplay has one. It’s quick. There’s a phenomenal high, luring the reader into a false sense of security – them boom! It all comes tumbling down in true cliffy style. And this is where my 4.5 review comes in. Trashy Foreplay was riding the coat tails of five shiny stars until the very last sentence. Not because it was a cliff hanger, no. I love a good one. More so the fact that I felt it was weak, too tame and didn’t seem in keeping with the book. Any other author and I’d say they lacked courage to pull out the big guns but not this author. Gemma James has the guts to twist a reader sideways and isn’t afraid to do it, nor think twice. So, the cliff hanger confused me until I sat and thought about it in terms of follow through to the next book. I get it, I do. There’s much more to that story thread. Still, it didn’t sit so well with me.Trashy Foreplay is a book you will devour and despair over. Gemma James stabs her inked pen into your heart a time or two before you reach the end. I understand why this book was difficult to write but boy, oh boy did the author absolutely nail it. If you pick up on the subtle hints and twists woven between the obvious then you’ve done well and I see no reason why you won’t be champing at the bit for round two. I know I am.Highly recommended for the angst, the flair, the beauty of Gemma James words bringing this story to light. Sublimely seductive. I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

Good book
Cash and Jules's story is a 'star gazed lover's' story and fate has them coming together a few times to provide sufficient content to engage and draw the reader in. We're left with a cliffhanger to ponder until book2 is released. Luckily later this week!?!As Cash is married to Monica, there's not much sex (no pun intended) - I meant with Jules - until literally the last 25-30 pages, when they eventually cave in and then it's normal vanilla, so no kinky in this book. There's interesting sub characters: Kaden, Monica, Chris, Lesley; perhaps we'll hear more from them in book2. The event with Perry is puzzling, as it's not clear if Alex did willingly sleep with him (therefore is her breakup reason with Chris true) and it's not clear who sent Cash the photo, as we've not scratched the surface yet on the other parties involved. Lots still to cover off.I'd give 4 stars for this book. Books involving cheating are always morally difficult and this one has focused predominately on the sexual attraction between Cash/ Jules and Cash/Monica lack of sex. It was a free download and I would happily read the next book in the series to hopefully address some of the open points.

Not a complete story
You need to buy the second book - what a crock! It was all pretty silly anyway and I was skin reading to get to the end to see what ridiculous, convoluted reason he had for not divorcing his wife.

Not for me
Will they, won’t they. This was all a bit much for me. I didn’t really feel a connection with the characters. The story started out well, but I wasn’t hooked and I’m don’t feel the need to read the next in the series. Not for me.

Rubbish
