Is very smooth, this lens is build solid, I would say just a hair tighter than the CP.2 on the focus ring area.

If you order it as the model code XN24-NEX it will come with the Sony E Mount attached and ready to go for all Sony E mount camera models. The picture shown is for the PL mount version of the lens but is just used for illustration purposes for all of the mount versions.
