Cisco Storage Networking Cookbook: For NX-OS release 5.2 MDS and Nexus Families of Switches

This book gives you screenshots and configurations of the most common task for a storage engineer supporting MDS and Nexus. Simple task and the book delivers.Good as a reference guide to get started and to remind one of the tasks involved when re-creating. I would like to have some more details around the initial set-up of DCNM, but that is not a direct focus of this book. I do like how they show both command line and GUI configurations.Looking forward to the next version that hopefully has more of the new features, like 16 Gbps FC, along with the new switches like Nexus 5600 and MDS 9700 series.

This is an updated version of "The Cisco MDS Cookbook", written by the same authors. Needing info for work, I bought both at the same time. After they arrived I began to compare the two books -- virtually the same.I feel that the publisher misled the buying public by naming the book differently and reversing the order of the co-authors, making this book appear to be entirely different from the first. Lesson learned -- do more research before buying technical books ;-{

This book is a very good book for anyone new to cisco storage networking (MDS and Nexus platforms). It starts out from the basics and presents lots of cli configuration outputs.

This is book is good but not reach my expectation in term of contents. It is ok to me.Thank you.

This Book is a must for anyone who is new to MDS with easy to follow configuration, verification steps and best practices.

Es un libro con muy buenos ejemplos. Sin embargo he encontrado bastantes erratas y la parte realmente nueva frente a ediciones pasadas resulta confusa. Pero si no dejamos de tener en cuenta que se trata de un libro complementario a la documentación oficial de Cisco, resulta un libro muy recomendable.
