Much Better Than Expected!
Wow! I thought I’d order this based on the reviews but didn’t hold out much hope with my abilities! Was easy enough to put together, although tightening the nut for the section connection was a bit fiddly. Lining up wasn’t an issue. This tool works a treat in a home made black dustbin composter! Much easier than trying to use a fork! Easy to remove and turn the material over. Seems to be good sturdy quality so well worth the money!

Fantastic for dalek compost bins!
Wanted to try this out with my dalek compost bins. Originally I wanted one with more 'spirals' on it, but after using this, I think more spirals with make it too hard to pull back up. It aerates really well. And the metal is very thick and sturdy, but the screw joining the two pieces does loosen with use. I was careful not to over-tighten when assembling and thought I'd underdone it, but its loosens a little each time I’ve used. Maybe I just got a faulty screw or its a flaw; just hope it doesn't get worse over time.

Fantastic, I made sure the screw was tight, easy to turn and pull up the compost, will do it regularly now, so pleased with it

You haven’t lived until you’ve stirred rot with intent
Look, I didn't think I'd ever have strong feelings about a glorified corkscrew for rotting vegetable matter, and yet… here we are. This thing is brilliant. It’s long enough to reach the bottom of the compost bin without falling in (important). It’s sturdy. It doesn’t rust. It grips like it means business. And best of all? It makes turning the compost feel satisfying. Like you’re folding a giant biological soufflé. I now go outside with purpose, stab this glorious metal noodle into my compost pile, give it a crank, and whisper things like “Oh yes, that’s aerating beautifully.” I don’t even recognise myself anymore. In a good way. If you’ve got a compost bin, a sense of pride, and maybe some unresolved tension you want to crank into the earth, this tool is for you. Highly recommend.

Lightweight, doesn't take up much room in the shed and makes turning the compost easy!
