Good Grips Twisting Jar Opener with Basepad

The family arthritis finally got my hands, so I was looking for something to less painfully open jars & this is it. So easy to use & does exactly what it says. Great quality product, came very fast & wasn’t expensive.

Great little jar opener. Tried several openers in the past. This one opens all kinds of jars and bottles. Easy to use and little to no stress on your hands. Lightweight and stores easily.

Finally a jar opener that works!!! I bought one other and threw it in the trash where it belongs. I watched the customer videos from other reviews and decided to purchase this one as I have a touch of arthritis in my right hand. I have been able to open a few jars with it with relative ease. I recommend this product. I even brought one for a family member.

This jar opener works well, once I learned how to use it properly. I have weak hand strength and small hands. I've always struggled to open tightly sealed jars. Initially, I couldn't get this to work and was afraid I'd have to send it back. I watched numerous videos before and after my purchase, but nobody talks about avoiding the urge to apply pressure, like I was used to doing when I didn't have this tool. This tool replaces any downward pressure with a gentle counterclock-wise twist using the tool handle. I had to learn to let the tool do the heavy lifting. Once I realized this, it's been super easy to open and reopen stubborn jars. I also tried it on a plastic peanut butter jar (Costco size) and it worked fine, no damage to the jar or the lid. The included slip resistant pad is handy and easily removed/restored to the tool when done. It helps keep the jar stable. My one negative comment: I don't have a lot of confidence in the durability - this tool is mostly plastic, thus the 4 star rating.

The product was fantastic worked exactly as described! On another note Amazon sends out emails about deliveries not being able to be delivered and then they blame the driver instead of blaming themselves! They lie 100% of the time to the customer and I'm talking about Amazon not the product producer

Hey it works if you have a medium jar. Lets go pros 1. Build quality its well made should last a long time. I have had problems with rubber coming of on the grips on other manufacturers before. 2. Handle is comfortable and easy to grip the lids come of with little effort. 3. Price is ok 4. Its small and will fit in any jar. Cons: 1. This is a biggy. The size won’t open some jars like big pickle jars or small soda caps. It just is to small or not big enough to open them. Why? Why? Has not someone made something like this that fits all sizes. 2. The original packaging. Mine came in a plastic bag attached to a cardboard with a twist tie on it. Its ,like someone opened it ,did not like it ,put it in a plastic bag and attached the twist tie to it and sent it through Amazon. Boy I sure hope thats not what Amazons doing now. This dog bites. Ok ,so if you want to open a jar of mayo or medium pickles you will love this. That said if you advertise something that opens jars it should open all sizes including bulk. 3 stars.

I've used OXO Goodgrips before. I already had a jar lid opener but I found it clumsy to use. I have weak wrists and even with the standard ones you need to twist to assist to get the lid off. Not with this one. It's innovative! Firstly, the little silicone mat it comes with to place the jar on is genious. It keeps the jar steady while using the main twister. The twister is brilliant. I've used it for all jar lid sizes so far it works on all of them. It does all the work. You twist it but the main force is applied for the gadget so it's comfortable to use. I've not seen one like this before and it's a game-changer for the best in our kitchen. It's good value for money. I would purchase it for a friend or family member.

What an excellent product. For anyone who has arthoritis in their hands, this is the tool to use to open Jam Jars and many other products. Its simple and very easy to use.
