SOOOO ANGRY! This is NOT 100% silicone!!! It has a plastic odor (true silicone does not smell) AND it fails the pinch test (see picture). Pure silicone does NOT turn white when flex-stressed, but plastics do...this item clearly contains a plasticizer as a filler. Maybe the company knows, maybe it doesn’t, but they better address the issue for customers and fix it. They should put out a recall. Very disappointed...parents are getting taken advantage of.

I've had these plates a few months (maybe 3). At first we liked them a lot, but Now we've realized that any food that sits on these plates for more than a minute or so tastes intensely plastic-y. I know they are made of silicon, not plastic, so I can't explain it. We only wash them in the top rack, and no other silicon baby/toddler products we have are like this. I literally had to throw them out, they made my 2-year old's food so gross. Big disappointment!

Food smells.Bought them after reading all the excellent reviews. They look great but the food smells. I actually would have never realised it if I didn't try to finish my toddler's Omelette myself! It was yucky. They also retain the dishwashing liquid smell.Absolutely not suitable.

As mother to a one year old and an early childhood educator (who sometimes provides feeding-related therapy), I am always on the search for great mealtime supplies.The top 5 reasons I love these plates:1. I have found silicone to be the best material for the toddler age group. The obvious reasons for this are that (a) they are not breakable and (b) they do not easily slide across a table/high chair (meaning less mess for the grown ups...and fewer snacks for the dog!)2. Unlike some other silicone plates, I have not had any issue with these staining. They have stood up to some major staining culprits like lasagna, beets, and berries.3. They are top-shelf dishwasher safe. Anything that makes clean up faster gets a thumbs-up from me!4. Each of the three sections is adequately sized for toddler portions AND has higher section borders than many similar products. This helps to reduce spillage and makes self-feeding easier for little ones whose fine motor skills are still developing. As a mom and educator, I love products that support independence and help set children up for success.5. The plates are stackable, which saves much-needed cabinet space! No more oddly shaped plates and meal mats all over the place!One potential area for improvement:Unlike some similar products, these do not have suction cups on the bottom. This may be problematic for any littles with a tendency to launch their dinner plate across the room.Overall, I adore this product and highly recommend. I’ve tried many plates/mats and these are my favorites!

When washed these retained soap smell and made food taste like soap. Even when hand washed. Threw them away.

I’m horrified that it took me almost a year to realize these plates retain dish soap and deposit it on my kids’ food. I don’t eat off my kids’ plates generally because I have four kids and don’t want to get sick all the time with all their little germs. But I did a week ago and realized how horrible their food tastes because it tastes like SOAP. I have tried soaking them in hot water with vinegar and baking soda two times and I cannot get the strong smell of soap out. I’m disappointed that I bought three sets of these dishes. $60 down the tube, AND more importantly, that my kids have been eating off of them for nearly a year—ingesting harmful chemicals. NOT HAPPY!

I bought these because they are bottom rack dishwasher safe. They are great except that I ate a bite off my 18 month plate last night—something I never do because of food allergies—and it tasted STRONGLY of soap. The kids have been using these plates for months. Now I wonder if they’ve been rejecting food due to the soap residue. It never occurred to me that the detergent wouldn’t rinse off. But it’s true. You have to rinse these thoroughly after dishwashing. They really hold the soap smell and taste.EDIT: I just received a nice email from the company explaining: “To remove the smell, please put the plate in boiling water for 15 minutes. Silicone can, at times, take on the scent of the things it comes into contact with. This should remove any soapy taste, but please let me know if you continue to have any trouble.” I appreciate the customer service!

This DOES help your toddler scoop items into his spoon/fork easier. Perfect sized dividers. Easy to wipe clean. The only downside is this material seems to retain some weird taste. If I taste test any food I put in these plates, it comes out tasting more like the plates than the actual food flavor.Updated: Thanks to the seller for replying! It was definitely a user error - I should have known to treat the silicone plates similar to the silicone bottles I used for my child. Boiling the plates in hot water for 15 minutes did fix the weird flavor issue. I've had these plates for a while and only noticed the strange flavor a few weeks ago, so it looks like boiling required 2-3 times a year which isn't too maintenance heavy. I would grant this product 6 stars if I could due to the solid communication by the seller and WeeSprout's incredible values and goals.

These are brilliant, durable plates. Been using these over 1 year and colour has not faded at all in dishwasher at all

Good plates, I love that my kids can't break them. It's a little hard to get some foods off the plates, unless you soak them for awhile. I haven't had any "suction power" with these though, they still move around all over the table when my kids push them around. At the end of the day it's still decent plates, though a bit pricey. We enjoy them though.

My kid loves that main food, side veggies etc can be divided to different compartments and is now happy to eat everything

My daughter love these plates as it takes everything she want to eat per meal
