Clauss Multipurpose, Shears, Right Hand (18078)

If you need a heavy duty pair of scissors to cut extra thick cloth, leather or carpet, these scissors are the ones you are looking for. They are very sharp and will also cut all the regular things that a pair of scissors is supposed to cut...like paper, cardboard, cloth, etc.These scissors are very comfortable to hold while using them. There are not too heavy to use. I have another pair of heavy duty scissors and they are just too heavy. This pair is just right as far as their weight is concerned.

Love these. I have stocked up on them. I bought my first pair to cut lirope (monkey grass) so my "good" ones wouldn't end up in the yard/garage. Using scissors like that is hard on the scissors and while they make the job easier, they're usually good for nothing else afterwards.I was so surprised when I received them. They're the same kind as my sewing Wescotts, in fact, I have both and compared them - and other than the package insert and oval silicone name tag, they are identical, even the quality is the same. My hands hurt when I cut things, these grips make it so much nicer and the blades truly are razor sharp.

I've always sworn Fiskars were the best, I've used them for years at work and at home. But these Clauss shears have made me rethink that. They are razor sharp out of the box and cut anything I've tried them on so far with both strength and precision. At work I've used them to cut rubber roofing material, and at home I've used them for delicate items as well. I've only had them a month, so time will tell how well they hold up, but as of to date I couldn't be more pleased.Very happy with this purchase and looking at buying another pair.

Scissors are very sharp with nice, thick blades for heavier duty use. However, the blades on the one I received have two areas where it seems that the scissors were used to cut through paperclip wire, possibly for testing/quality control. It doesn't really affect the performance but it's something I can live without. Still worth the $10 price tag.

These are the best scissors I have found. I bought them for my wreath making. My husband I liked them so much for his leatherworking that I bought him a pair so mine would not keep disappearing!My husband's home care nurse has very thick bandages, etc to cut through. She tried them on a few thick bandages she had and was very impressed. She bought a pair for her nursing bag.

The handles of these scissors are poorly designed, with two defects, one dangerous. First, the handles easily pinch your fingertips. This is because when the handles close they touch and the portion of the handle for your fingers has a rounded edge which encourages you to bend your fingers around it while in use. But when you do this you pinch your fingertips at the end of a cut when the scissors close as the other half of the handle, for your thumb, is designed to close down and touch the handle where your fingertips are protruding. This means the handles close on the tip of the middle finger of your hand, and occasionally other fingers as well. Second, the opening on the handle for your fingers is simply too small for many adults to put all four fingers into it and scissors with blade this large should be designed to fit most adults comfortably. The opening on the handle for your thumb is a little undersized as well and many adults could not use these scissors for any long period of time without experience discomfort, and even a blister. So, the blades are nice, pretty sharp, cut well but if you offset this one feature against constantly pinching your fingertips and the handles being too small, both design flaws that could be easily remedied, these scissors are not worth it at any price.

This is my 3rd scissors I've purchased. Very durable and heavy duty. Cuts everything I throw at it. I keep one in my house and one in my garage and another one in my workshop.

Now have 4 pair, the first being a couple of years old, and used various from cutting the "user unfriendly" hard plastic casing around some products to dividing rubber hoses or just cutting up cardboard. These things are near indestructible, and hold an edge much longer than most (when worn out take sharpening well - the steel is good).

Sehr gute Schneide-Eigenschaften, sehr präzise. Auch geeignet für Lederarbeiten und Zuschneiden von Dickleder. Eine Präzisionsschere, mit der ich sehr zufrieden bin. Allerdings wurde von AMAZON 3x die FALSCHE Schere als 9-Zoll geliefert, obwohl jeweils die 10-Zoll-Schere bestellt und gekauft wurde. Auch am 04.01.2021 kamen wieder 2x 9-Zoll-Scheren anstatt der im Chat bei der Reklamation zugesagten und schriftlich bestätigten 10-Zoll-Scheren an. Auf dem Foto ist ersichtlich, dass es 9-Zoll-Scheren sind.
