Very organized
For the diy’er that makes pcb’s this book of components is a well organized and easy to use. It have a very thorough assortment of resistors and a few capacitors. It has a few led’s, inductors and discrete components. It keeps it full by replacing individual components. The organization of everything is what I like most.

I'm super pleased with this kit.
This is a great collection of parts. I can remember when having this many parts on hand would take up a whole wall of containers! They're all neatly bound, grouped, and indexed which makes finding the right part easy. Mine also included a bonus package not mentioned in the product page containing a tube of fine solder, tweezers, and a tiny soldering tip for my iron. I can't imagine a better kit!

Good components, not so good storage.
The actual pieces are exactly what was advertised, resistors, capacitors, diodes, etc. in the proper sizes and more consistent than my through-hole resistors for prototyping. The only problem is the book that holds them isn't quite big enough and I knew right after I opened it that they were going to be a mess (the tape reel holder pages, not the components) so I moved them into an old dayplanner with the same ring layout but with bigger rings to appropriately accommodate the pages. Overall, excellent product! Just plan on a different organization system once they arrive.

Decent price, good selection.
Many assortments don't have the common Apple capacitors, which are hard to find in small quantities. This assortment does.

Does the job well.
Excellent for the hobbyist like myself. I have never had my components so organized. Just what I needed.

Very nice value for the components; handy to have on-hand
Have been working on new projects, and this book has been great. If I find I'm about to run out of something, I can order it in bulk, because that means I'm using it a lot. 1206 is a nice size to work with; juuust big enough that I can place and solder things on by hand without cursing (too much). Have used inductors, capacitors, resistors, and LEDs from this book, and everything's worked great. The tweezers were also a nice addition (you'll need them to get components out of the sleeves!). Not sure who ever first came up with the idea of putting a huge assortment of components into a book like this, but it's one of society's greatest gifts to electronics hobbyists. All that said, I've ignored the transistors because I'm not sure on their pin configuration and testing them would be cumbersome.

got me an A+ in my PCB class!!
I took a class where we were designing and fabricating PCB boards using these circuit board printing machines. The machine sucked. You couldn’t do through a hole with them. I mean, you could do through a hole with them, but it didn’t go very well for any of my 27 classmates. One of us stumbled onto these books of service mount components, and most of us bought them. They came in clutch. We revised our boards for all surface mount components aside from a few wires that got soldered to the board and got hot glued. For the price, she had a nice selection of components. I was mostly interested in the resistors and capacitors. The op amps aren’t the best, but they work kind of. I didn’t try out any of the transistors. The diodes worked well. Teaming this kid up with an electrolytic surface mount capacitor kit, and you are op af. Oh no, you get a ton of parts for the price if you were to order these through Digi-Key as singles. You would pay a lot more and have to wait at least a week to get it in with Amazon, we got these “books” in two days. all the resistors are labled well and the 1206 size is large enough to handle and manually place with tweezers.

Very well put together
Excellent choice as a spare/introductory kit for smd (Surface mount) components. I purchased to create some specific small circuits, and found the components to be in spec. I have also used the components as replacements for failed parts in an original xbox, solid state amplifier, and a few other fixes/projects. Be aware that these kits are well rounded, and have many types of items, but a low quantity of each. For example, if you are working on an SMD LED (surface mount light emitting diode) project (like replacing the lights with a different color in a modern car dashboard) then you won't have enough LEDs (this kit has 10 per color.)
