Exactly as described. It's a compact mechanical keyboard with hot-swapable blue switches. The first thing I did was swap out one of the switches to see if it would work. It does. So if you wanted, you could say, change all the switches to a different type other than blue. This layout is about as small as you can reasonably go with standard sized keys, without sacrificing functionality. Micro USB cable is detachable. Be aware, that this version of the keyboard is not full RGB. You cannot change the color of each key with this model. You cannot for example, set all keys to a single color. If you want to spend $7 more, there is a newer version of this keyboard that will do that. I was unaware of the difference, but that's not the seller's fault. You can however, turn the rainbow lights off, although keyboards with no backlight on tend to look better with light-colored key caps. I would prefer the keyboard to be heavier, but it shouldn't matter much because the rubber feet stick very well to a tempered-glass keyboard tray. I am tempted to use old-style IBM keycaps for a sudo retro look, in which case I would not have the backlight on. Either way I would still recommend getting the newer version of this keyboard, but I can't complain at all for $38.
