Photos were best I've come across
Why buy a book of photos on the Talon when there are so many photos to be found on the internet? When they are this good, this complete and all in one publication! I had been scouring web pages for months looking for detailed photos of the T-38 for my scale R/C project. Saw this book, ordered it and was delighted with the content. There is not a lot of text but the photos are clear and plentiful. Systems are covered in order: Nose, cockpit, fuselage, wings, landing gear, tail, etc. There are several pages of 3-views in 1/72 scale. Very useful for scaling up or down.I recommend this book!

Talons A through C
I learned more about the T-38C from reading this book and looking at the excellent pictures taken than I had since I learned of the upgrades to the Talons years ago. There was some history of the Talons I did not know and now I do. I realy enjoyed and appreciate the work that went into to this book. The changes between the A and C models are so significant and so much needed. I would still go back and work on them in a minute. Talon fan? Get this book. Old T-38A maintainer? Get the book and see the differences in the Talon C. Well written and again excellent photographs. Now if someone will do a history tying the T-38, F-5, and F-20 together. That's one I would buy in a heartbeat!

not of much use for t-38A trainers
- a disappointing "book" - it's designed for people who want detailed pics of various parts so they can build models - too little info on original T-38A that was used as a trainer for thousands of us vietnam era USAF pilots - if i had seen it on the shelf before purchase, i would have never bought it

In the Verlinden tradition...
Willy peeters is a long time cohort of Francois verlinden, this book will fit right in with Verlinden's Lock-On series. No panel is left undone, no hydraulic line or bolt goes unphotographed here. In a way it's a shame, this book is a terrific reference source but to my knowledge there really aren't any good T-38 Models out there in Current production, The Sword Models T-38 being the best of the bunch but rather expensive and very hard to find.Kudos to Mr. Peeters and the DACO crew for taking on this subject. In my opinion the book (and all of the Lock-On series) would greatly benefit from more coverage of various unit markings, special markings, etc. For example, the USAF thunderbirds flew the 38 for years, yet there is only one T-bird picture in the book. A short article by Engineer/Aircrew/ Maintenance types would also help in a book that sells for @ $30.00.Overall an excellent detail book of an airplane that has been needing more coverage.
